[edit] Ali that water animation is amazing, I hope you don't mind me using a large part of it as reference in mine :) (I just saw it, someone saved it for me, the link is still broken to me)

I'm sorry the link is broken, but I'm gald you saw the image. I'd be delighted for you to use it as a reference, but I've now doubt that you can improve upon it dramatically - particularly by adding a couple more frames to get rid of the sense of oscillation.

Incredibly well executed background.
Really nice pixely feeling you've got there, along with a great desaturated, misty kind of atmosphere.

I think the torches are perfect. I know people are always tempted to increase the contrasts and the highlights, as well as reflected light-effects and whatnot, whenever there is a distinct light source in the image. However, torches of that size in an environment that bright probably don't cast much more light than that. So, the moderated contrasts here are quite appropriate. Also, they animate beautifully!

Thanks andail :)

thanks stefano :)

ali, I have been trying to make a 6-frame one, referenced by yours, but it really sucks (too embarressing to show), I tried a different method too, but I don't quite get it yet, and I don't wanna just copy yours. I will try again sometime. Darn my bad animation skills.
