This time I even shaded it some myself...

This is it! I can't show you any more without ruining my game... Did i say game? You can't prove that!
Incidentally I need a character artist for... nothing... Send a PM if you're interested. Would hate to have to do it myself...

This one's a little darker ... but I like it just as much!

- only thing I did was add hi-lights and shading
- changed the light spot(s) to reflect the holes in the wall
- added some directional shadows from the ladder

I spent some time on this ... but just couldn't get the light spots to look just right.Ã,Â That might just be 'cause I stared at it for too long.Ã,Â But you can tell what I mean by it at least!

I can't wait to play this game!!

PT: The freaking game is not imminent. All I have is the basic plot and some bg's. The bg's are done mostly to find the style of the game. I'm holding a decent tempo at the moment (a bg a day), but I have to write out the plot properly before i can make any real progress, hence the lack of any objects in the bg's. Also I need to find out how to draw characters that will fit the style. I'm currently brainstorming on story and puzzles and aim to have most of it in place a couple of weeks from now. I really should get somebody to help me with the characters... Anyone? Please!

Well, the bg's are set up for characters somwhere around 100-120 px in height... My avatar would be somewhat small. I'm thinking of a more cartoony look...

Here's a sketch I made of the main character. He will most propably not end up looking like this, but it's a pointer towards the style I'm going for...

As I said; I'm still writing the script, and there's a long way to go yet. If it turns out to be a total hassle I would like to have someone onboard who could do at least some of the sprites rather than use like a year to draw and animate them myself...

I'll run an ad in "Adventure related..." when/if the time comes

Im bumping this up, as it was about to go of the bloody page!

I think it deserves some replies.

yOke: obvious it needs more cluter, on the shelf ect, if you cant think of anything to put in try doing cobwebs, broken panals of wood ect. maybe add a window to the side of the room.

You've got some really nice work here, i'm surprised your last charater didn't get an replies, it's really great, the old BGs as well.

I like the character... looks as if he's stretched vertically, or pushed in horizontally, though. Not sure what kind of character he is, but it looks like he could use some gold chains or something.

BG is nice as well, besides the obvious lack of items as OSC mentioned. Lighting seems a little dull as well... even so it looks great the way it is.

Ain't I the inconsiderate bastard! I forgot to say in my post that OSC made the new character. After all, credit where credit is due!

I'll post a more "cluttered" version during the day

I will also reduce the size of the door...
