So I thought of doing some renditions of my favorite game music with orchestration on Reason 3.0

I tried to make it as "movie-like" as possible, excluding percussion and such.

I used some violins, a viola, and a flute.

All comments are welcome, on what should I improve.
Still working on 8-bit stuff, mostly NES and Atari 2600:

It's good!  I think you're having the same trouble I am with Reason, though: timing.  Some of the instruments come in at odd times and play too fast for the overall theme, and the tempo seems a bit faster than it should be imo.  Reason's sequencer is a pain though, so I can't fault you for what I'm still having trouble with.

I haven't used reason so I can't be too sure on what you can do but:

Try to make small tempo changes. Ritardanti, acceleranti, stuff like that.

The whole thing is too loud! Try to differentiate a lot the velocities (and possibly even the volume controls).

Add a little reverb. It is a little unnatural right now.

The doublings don't sound really nice on around 0:30.

If you're using samples, try to find at least one mroe articulation for each instrument. It will vary the sound and make it sound much more interesting.

Orchestration wise it is fine as it is I think! There is not much to tell, and it is apparent that you know what you are doing. I hope I wasn't too harsh.

Nice use of Reason. Just been messing around with it a bit myself. Not too fond of the sequencer in it and the inability to maximize the program, but it comes with some pretty sweet sounds.

The slow attack of the string section becomes a little too clumsy later on in the piece. Not sure if you can do anything to help that. Sometimes I'll layer in a bit of stacatto string sounds along with the long string tones if they aren't punchy enough.

I think Nikolas covered everything else that I was going to say... :)

Nice, I like it. It's from The Last Crusade right? It's my favorite theme from that movie.

Yes the later part is definitely Indiana Jones music... as I know it from the czech ZX Spectrum text adventure game Indiana Jones 3 by Frantisek Fuka.
