Great work Eric... another example of why I'll never be a good artist. :P

Yes, because eric is so good, it's like he's sucking up all the talent and the rest of use are screwed....

Nope, thats the wrong way to look at it man, for me, Eric was one of my inspirations to improve my art, and now (withth e help of his handy dandy tutorials and practice!) I feel I am a much better artist. Keep drawing dude...

This picture is great, very pleasing on the eyes. I love the shirt w/ all its folds, and the color choices.

My only issue is the same one that has already been mentioned. (The wall looks a little flat.) But this hardly detracts from the great image.

Especially the character is nice - the bricks and the background looks a bit too naivistic and cliché.
The character has a really original touch, though...also, the shirt is technically almost perfect, imo

Im sorry guys, but with all your edits, the original's still better..

There's only one thing this picture needs.
If you have it in separate layers, this will be a cinch!

All you have to do is add a slide dark shade to the left edge of the tower, because it does look a little flat against the background..

Add the archway if you'd like, but that's all it really needs :)

of all the comments here I do believe Las' is the most heartfelt...

for the image i made before this here I tried to use as few layers as possible, the guy is one layer, the background is one layer, the grass... is a series of layers because i was experimenting... but the entire thing was only like 8 layers. unlike my OTHER painting which was many many layers.

So I was trying to keep things simple again with only a few layers... I ended up using over 40... I had to use folders to keep track of them all... but it's a learning process and looking back over the other paintings I think I've learned a lot. I may try and redo the field one again now that I know more...

either way, thank you for the comments and what I failed to achieve in this image hopefully I'll get spot on in the next
