Sorry for the bump, but there is now a video online.

You know, if you're into that sort of thing.

That GDC host was VERY annoying! They should have found someone else that could talk and knew a little about presentation. When speaking to a crowd in a conference, "UM" is not an acceptable word. (It's fine for you contestants because you're not the "professional" speaker. It was painful to listen to.)

It was an interesting viewing but I didn't care too much about the subject matter. I felt that the monthly game challenges here are more well devised.

Congrats on your win anyway... it's nice to see someone here who is rewared for their creativity.
"Hail to the king, baby!"

I must have missed this thread earlier :) Congrats on your win Erin, and nice job keeping the flag up :D

That was so funny! Will this game ever be made for real? I would like to play it  :D

The Ivy

Thanks all!

And fortunately, this was never meant to be a real game.

Does that mean the designs will be Public Domain (or at least, public for the AGS community) so that someone can start working on it? :P

Thoroughly enjoyed the vid, so thanks for posting it. I think the other two contestants over-complicated their games and tried too hard on the presentation. But I bet that's a big thing you have to deal with when pitching to execs and investors, so I think the lack of time and indie background really helped you out!

To give back to the AGS community, I can get you free, full versions of commercial software. Recently, Paint Shop Pro X, and eXPert PDF Pro 6. Please PM me for details.

Hehehe, saw this a few days ago. Nice concept. It would probably work pretty well on a DS or iPhone or an android thingmabob.
I am Jean-Pierre.

You're a pretty good public speaker as well, Erin.  They loved you. :)

@Trent: Heather and I figured that the other two guys probably had enough time to shy away from the full autobiography aspect of it. However, we barely had time to come up with an idea, so we went with point-blank obviousness. Also, we have no shame.

@Layabout: Heh, if you say so...

@Stupot: Aww, seriously, your comment made my day. That's way too nice. :)

I think if we had been called in for any other design topic, I would have been stumbling a lot more. Luckily, with such a giggle-worthy subject, it wasn't too hard to get the audience laughing with/at/near us.
