It's hardly a party, to be honest :P But I'm just checking to see if anyone would be willing to help me with an EBAY transaction. I'm trying to buy a GREEN SCREEN (chroma key green screen - yep, same as a blue screen - except green) but they're not available to people in the UK. The ones available in the UK are pretty shi'ite.

So if I were to buy a green screen would someone in the USA be happy to ship it over to me? The process would involve me auctioning and winning :D a green screen, then getting it sent to you within the UK - and then you'd need to deliver it to me in the UK.. Naturally I'll pay the international shipping cost and give you a donation for your kind work too :)

If YES please PM me! If NO please explain why not!!!!1

Wouldn't be easier to make a homemade one? As far as I know, it'd be just a matter of finding just the appropiate green, if you have the software.  :)

But why make something yourself that you can buy of the internet?

here's about bluescreen: http://ibs.howstuffworks.com/ibs/bos/blue-screen.htm
basically the same as a greenscreen, but blue.

I don't know which one is more used though.

The way Mark expressed it, appears to be easier to make one than buying it!  :)

Farl: A chroma-key requires a very certain shade of blue or green in order to be picked up by most programs.  I've tried using a blue screen (it was actually a wall painted with chroma-key blue paint) where the light wasn't balanced properly, and ended up with a circle of light blue in the upper corner of the shot.  An actual screen would be the exact right colour.  Also, if the wall got dirty, we couldn't clean it properly; scrubbing removed the paint.  We ended up having to repaint about once a month. A screen would have the colour actually part of it, so there's less worry of fading.

Also, it's much cooler to say "well I have a green screen!"

That's why I asked if there are problems with the homemade ones... Thanks DR.
