Why has it drawn attention to you? Does the library have sight-impaired computers that read websites out loud to you? Or did you just decide to start screaming "Mother of God, I'm being mocked mercilessly by a bunch of people I don't know!!!"

Honestly... There's a difference between humiliation and having a bit of fun had at your expense. None of us know you, and will probably never meet you, so you haven't really been humiliated at all, have you? As a matter of fact, you're on the internet, you could just claim to be Bill Gates and have a 47-foot long Johnson that you have to wrap around your entire body under your clothing...

So, for future reference, nothing said on the internet friggin' matters.

I hold no grudge versus any newbies, but if you are under the age limit, you can kinda expect some level of mockery. The thing is there for a reason. Everybody has a right to post here, as long as you can converse at a certain level. Ours may just be a little more intellectual than other forums.

Although I'm not a big supporter of mocking, I think it is nescessary. It's a form of education. We've all gone through the same thing when we were young. Now, because of that, you might say "it was bad enough for me, let's not do it to others." But think about it, didn't you learn from it? Hasn't it made you a better forum user? I remember back in the day I started out on the Penny Arcade forums. I don't know if any of you have ever been there, but it's been said to be a cesspit of aggros. I was ignorant, and at that time I cursed all of them for their harsh comments. But as time passed, I came to realize that was a turning point in the way I behaved on forums. Nobody likes some cocky punk who comes in and in his first post pimps his work as if it's the greatest thing the world ever saw. Now, I may not have been thát bad, but still, it was a valuable lesson. A lesson each of us has to learn.

Mistral, please go back and read Helm's post at the beginning of the thread, that's an answer to your question.

People are picking on you because of your thread title. We are a jokey forum and have a lot of fun so don't take a lot of it personally, you'll see as you stick around and post more.

Anything that really offends you, just forget about it and focus on your game.

It's true...
All the bad experiences with other people I tend to remember as the most helpful.

But on the other hand, there seems to be the same kind of logic as in the book Holes here:
"Take a bad boy, make him dig all day in the hot sun, and it'll turn him into a good boy."
Doesn't always work. I'm sure, if anybody would talk to somebody without mocking them and teach them not to do certain things in a calm way (although I have never met anybody who has acctually had the patience to attempt this), then there would be fairly the same outcome (might not be as "character-building", but oh well).

I'm just glad I got mocked early on a more strict-about-certain-things website...

Oh, and by the way Mistral, I'll work on those sprites as soon as I can... I'm making sprites for somebody else right now, so it might take a few extra days.
Just ignore this. Don't worry, people are always like this, happens to us all. Best thing is to just forget about it.
