Funny thing, I recall Farlander speaking of Aria and me mentioning she was gay. Was that how you got it? Because I was watching this film just now, Howard Stern show from 2002, don't ask why, and in it Aria said she wasn't gay, in fact she was at that time going out with the Marilyn Manson guitarist. Well, at leas t you believed me. But serisouly, she never made any hard core, peopel who don't do hard core are gay, arent they?

EDIT: On the other hand, the accussation is not just unfair, but false. Aria DOES hardcore. Have you seen "Aria" by Andrew Blake? And "Blondes and brunettes"? He has that silver dildos, and she uses them (I can promise she knows how to use them!) And she definitelly makes everything women would do when making love together (Licking, fingering...)

The case is that she does not make hetero hardcore, but she does lesbian hardcore.

So... as you can see, I am not a person who automatically beliefs that "gay are repressed people with too shame over them that just can do softcore". Or "heteros are horny people who automatically go to hardcore as soon as they have the occasion".

I appreciate that the violence icon isn't particularly clear (no offence Boyd, your icons have lasted very well Wink ) but if anyone thinks they can do a better job in a 20x20 image then feel free to post it here.

Why 20x20?  That's not even a standard icon size (16x16, 32x32) and one of the icons at least is 15x20.  32x32 would at least allow for some clear text descriptions if the image is somehow unclear.

Anyway; I like Progz's icons better than Scotch's. The fact that the present icons have been in use for a long time is not, in my mind, a compelling reason not to replace them, if we can find (or make) icons that are clearer and/or funnier.

This is a webpage, not a Windows application. The reason for me saying 20x20 as the maximum size is that any bigger starts to make the webpage look a mess by having icons that are too large and look out of place. Equally, as much as I love your icons, animated gif's wouldn't really look right on the games page and would probably make it look quite silly.

I disagree on both counts but okay.  32x32 isn't so much larger than 20x20 that a webpage would suddenly look awful, particularly since we're now in an age where the vast majority of people are operating in 800x600 or higher.  Your call though, and I respect that.

Besides, I just like making blood dripping animations for some reason.

The sex animation is the best so far. When they are so small, animations help to understand the picture (especially if it's meant to be funny too), but if they have to be static, the male/female rings should be interlocked and colored in typically male/female colors (red/blue). The simpler (and easier to understand) they can be done, the better.
The roger violence animation still seems the best to me, scotch's static pictures are generally good, but could be further simplified by removing the blood from the sword, the XXX text etc. I am not so fond of having icons with text in them.
Less arty, more functional.

It's probably just me but I always thought the violence icon looked a lot like a sex icon, if you get my meaning. Doesn't quite look like they're shaking -hands- to me...

Anyway, the mouse over thing never worked for me either so I agree that it would be a good idea to redo them, as neat as they are, just so they're a little clearer. Progz' icons are nice Perhaps if we want to be PC, we could have not just a male and female symbol, but a whole bunch all connected like a bunch of keys on a key-chain, kind of throbbing together in a sultry way. Maybe even some that have both the arrow and the cross on the same ring, for any game that uses hermaphrodites!
