The Charleston is cool.
It's the cat's pajamas, daddy-o. But why are you posting when you should be podcasting? That's where the real action is, see? It's the bee knees!

And thanks for resurrecting this old thread, bbx1138. It's surprisingly fresh and entertaining to have been in CJ's attic for so long. :cheesy:

Ghost

Mine's the Kee, and she doesn't wear pants.

Gribbler

I've added avatar image just recently. For many years I had none. It's just a fragment of an early version of Bum's title screen. If I happen to make another game I'll change it accordingly.

Jared

The figure in my avatar that you can barely see the detail of is a sprite I was pretty proud of, even though he's largely a paint over of a Street Fighter III sprite. (Yun, if you were wondering) Oddly enough, at the time I was working on the idea of a Street Fighter knock-off called Space Fighter, where loads of sci-fi characters fought possibly in MUGEN. I cannot remember most of the roster now but for whatever reason I included two characters from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series - the Mule, and Hari Seldon, which is who the sprite is meant to be. Somehow. He comes from a planet where everyone knows Kung Fu so I figured he'd dress like a Fu Manchu pimp, I guess.

He's also wearing a santa hat because I changed my avatar for Christmas and couldn't be bothered to change it back.

Not even super-secret leather pants?

Working on a RON game!!!!!

My avatar is the RONified version of a player character (from my supposed first game but that'll never be released unless I)

This avatar was a gift from my partner Oldschool_Wolf. :)

@Crimson Wizard: I don't know why but your avatar made me think that you're some sort of 'superior' to other AGSers. To be honest, I (naively) used to believe that you're in your 50s or 60s. And still to this date, I refuse to believe that you're actually a young person (no matter how many times I check your profile). :=

That's the power of avatars! :)
I once posted a photo of myself somewhere around here, and few people complained about me not actually having a beard.

Babar

31 is pretty ancient in AGS terms :P

...although I guess less so now. It seems the entire community's average age is slowly going up? Or at least the active community.

37 and counting. := If Babar is correct I'm close to being an Old One.

Babar

If I remember right, we had an "Average age" in the board stats, but not anymore.

I dare to say that even the non-active members are getting older - refraining from posting doesn't stop aging :P

Babar

Unless they're dying .

But I meant more in terms of average age, rather than individual ages. Like when AGS first started, most people using it would've been in their mid to late teens (having played the "original" 2D p&c adventures in childhood), and then that same age-group/generation aged, occasionally people leaving, occasionally new people, sometimes younger ones, who learnt about adventure games after the fact, or from the modern resurgence, but not enough to bring the average age down, just slow it a bit.

Not that I've done any scientific study or anything, but I'd suspect the average AGSer age would be around the mi-20s now?

Nice to see some fellow 31 year olds out there.

Picture is the lead character from my first game (still in development...)
