It's my sisters 18th birthday today and I wanted to make her a special video message using footage and photos from the Fuji Rock Festival, and I need a backing track.

I was wondering if anyone could send me or link me to a free mp3 of anything by Muse, Chemical Brothers, Kula Shaker, Ash, or even Lilly Allen. Or if you know any free and SAFE websites that I could lift a track from, or even part of a track as the video is only two minutes long and the first thirty seconds are catered for audio-wise.

I'm on a pissy laptop and I'm too scared to use limewire or even iTunes or any such software because my computer's already died 3 times in as many months so it obviously doesn't like such programs as it's been fine this time round where i haven't installed any such stuff.

Any help would be most appreciated. thanks.

Google.com

I tried google, but it only comes up with either ones you have to pay for, or dodgy adverty sites that I don't trust.

I'm actually in Japan at the moment, and yes they have very strict piracy laws but I only need 90 seconds worth of song and i's only intended to be viewed once by one person. I'm on a tight budget and wanna save money where I can....

Besides I already own Kula Shaker, Muse, and Ash albums so their record companies have already had enough money from me.. haha.

Can't you just look up a music video or something on YouTube of the song, and use the audio?

Of course, compression will be pretty bad, but in a pinch...

You can try www.newgrounds.com.... they have a lot of free music on the site (it's actually free, not pirated.) Style-wise it may not work for you, but it's worth a look.

in google:

?intitle:index.of? mp3 ***

replace *** with song name or band name.

I prefer

intitle:"index.of" (mp3) out.of.touch -html -htm -php -asp -cf -jsp

out.of.touch = song name or artist. User periods for spaces.

It's ok now guys.
I've been having trouble with Windows shitty movie maker.  It won't let me save the project saying something has been removed or modified.  I've had to send her the half-baked shitty version without back music.

I'm sure she'll still appreciate it.

Thanks for your tips and comments anyway people.  Especially yours Moox. You're such a flirt.  Maybe one day we will elope. But until then, lets be just good friends.
