Hello, I'm a 5th grade teacher who spent a lot of my childhood playing Kings Quest, Space Quest, and Police Quest (among others). I even bought the book that discussed how Ms Williams designed her games.
I just discovered AGS, and have been working on games for my classroom. I couldn't find any contact information in regards to licensing. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appriciated.

You're in luck, there is no license really.

Chris pretty much says do what ever you want with the engine and have fun.

There is actually a license, but it only wavers Chris Jones from any responsibility when you make your game (e.g. copyright issues).

Of course you can. But beware of licenses of utilities used WITHIN AGS, such as the MP3 encoder. You have to pay the MP3 inventores royalty fees. So use the MP3-less release of AGS and use OGG (freeware) instead. Other than that, sell away. Ionias did, with "The Adventures of Fatman" (Socko! Entertainment). He used to sell it for $15 a pop, and it sold fairly well.

Sweet, I would have to watch for everything though, just like Quantum said, like the extra things inside of the game. What about the program I used to create the sprites? Would that create a problem?

Basically it goes like this:
Kindergarten: 5 years
1st thru 12th grade: 6 thru 18 years of age
Then college anywhere after that

(And, if you want to know, 1st-5th is usually "elementary school", 6th-8th is middle school or junior hgh school, 9th thru 12th is always high school)

Actually junior high is generally 7th-9th grade, or at least it used to be. It's probably the same as middle school these days.
