Hey, I was wondering if anyone was having a similar problem with Google. Whenever I search it takes a really long time and freezes the browser for like 15 seconds. It only seems to happen in internet explorer, cuz it works fine when I do it with another browser. IE doesn't have a problem loading any other sites either. I have run as much anti-spyware stuff as I can, and I don't know what the cause of this is. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks

You might try using a good internet browser, e.g. Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/firefox).

I.E isn't safe too, it's crap. So yeah, you better download Firefox. It's like a million times better.
You got it!

Did you install Win XP SP2? If you did, the "enhanced" security features and other craps can affect IE and mostly other windows stuff.
Anyway, I don't use IE anymore unless I'm forced to under some circumstances.

i've noticed that the main google site has been a little iffy lately, but it just redirects me to the .co.uk site anyway so i just go there instead...

I had the same problem a few weeks ago - it'll get worse.  We have a fire wall, and also did several anti virus scans, but nothing came up. However when our computer bod came in, he found 48 Trojuns on our computer which was why the internet was slow....(they were trying to connect to other Trojuns when you did a search and take over, hance your search is veeeeeeery slow, or freezes.)
To get rid of them you need to download a free programe called Spybot - search and destroy. That will find them out and get rid of them for you;

Ok thanks, I downloaded Firefox, I guess I should just give up on IE.
