Ok community I need your help.

As some of you may know, I'm married. As some fewer of you may know my wife is pregnant. The baby is due the coming week or the next.

She's away from me 3 weeks now, and I think that I should get her a good present, or even two. One to compensate that we were away from each other (and from my first son), and the second for the birth of our second one.

WHAT SHOULD I GET HER? :)

Over the years I've known her, I've bought her a lot of presents and I'm running out of ideas. I hate repeating myself. So, in order for you not to tell me something I've allready done or bought: I've bought her: Sunglasses, Hi-Fi, Lingeri (hehe), wrist watch, clothes, a chess (we love chess), nightware, jewells, two rings (expensive ones I may add), shoes. I think that I've covered most areas. And know I'm tottally uninspaired.

Can you help me? Any ideas are welcome (but we are talking about my pregnant wife, ok?). Any price will do really. And be realistic. It's not practical to leave a newborns to his grandmother and leave for Vienna/Venice/whatever...

Thank you. :)

PS. Sorry for the capitalisation in the subject and in the question above, but I'm getting desperate. And I have to get this present in 3 days, because that's when I'm leaving for Greece to meet her. :)

Bufff... I am terrible at gifts... But I've seen some pairs of tiny tiny sport shoes for babies that are so so lovelly! ^_^ They put people tender, and I think they will work with a pregnant woman ever more... at least for not killing you.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

This is why I need your help. Thanx Farlander...

Squinky

I think you should just give her good, good loving. Thats all the world really needs....If she's anything like my gal, she probably wouldn't mind you putting her into labor a little early...

Squinky...  ::)

Anyways, when buying presents, I always go down the hobby route. If you both play chess, I'd suggest maybe buying something chess related. Like a book or something.  :-\

It's not really a holiday, so I wouldn't really get her something she would use. Something romantic would suit better. Flowers or something. Maybe candy, but I don't know how well candy would go over with a pregnant woman.

It doesn't really matter what it is, just so long as it shows her you love her. That's what you're going for right?

So, I second Squink's idea.  8)

Paper Carnival

I don't know... The only gifts I made to girls are: a cute stuffed toy (lamb), drawings (not freaky like those in CL) and a song. I'm terrible at choosing gifts.

Tuomas

I'd get some clothes for both of them, that matches, that would be fun, She'd think you were adorable... Then I quote

Fleur indeed... always good. Though you wouldn't want me to give gifts to your wife? anyway, gota go. Just make her remember you love her

Squinky, I think Nikolas did that the last time round and that's how the current situation came about.   ;)

Clearly you're not married ... and if you keep going down that route you may not ever be.  :=

I think you need to get her something that makes her feel beautiful.  Clothes are definately out for obvious reasons.  So the Jewlery thing would be your best bet IMHO.  I've never heard any woman complain about having too  much jewlery.

Lovin' is like Jello, theres always room for more...

MrColossal

However, no matter how much I make love to my Jello, it will never get pregnant...

RickJ

How about a birthstone ring or pendant, one stone for you, your wife, and two children.  Of course if also plan on taking Squinky's advice you will have to get  a couple of empty slots for next time.  :)

:P

I had to comment on that!
Thanks everybody, keep 'em coming...

SSH

A frying pan for her to hit you with during the labour...?

Here's some recent presents I have got my wife, and she REALLY insisits on romantic stuff

* Buy a star named after her: http://www.starregistry.com/ or lots of other places. OK, no astromer will ever call it that but its very romantic.
* Buy her the title of "Lady" http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=srmr&page=title&r=GADGitle=181287
* Make a Fimo model of the two of you (see my avatar)
* Make an AGS game featuring the two of you (see The Marvellous Adventures of Princess Marian series)

Don't buy her a ring, as women can swell up all over during pregnancy... some have to get rings cut off to maintain circulation to their fingers!

Is there some food she has not been eating because she's not allowed to during preganancy? Smoked salmon, soft cheese, etc? Maybe you can have it ready for her after the birth!

Everyone I know loves cake, sweets, etc. I'm a good confectionist and I often bake people pimped up cakes for their birthdays/etc. Most people really like it 'cause nowadays most people just buy them at the supermarket.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Nikolas

I have to comment on that also.

Can you imagine a woman with 15 kgr more in her body, wanting to eat cakes? I mean if I try anything like that I'm going for a divorce. ;D

Thanks though...

I'm thinking on terms of more presenst than one or two. I mean the idea with clothes both for the newborn and her mother is rather cool, but also the SSH idea of doing/making/creating something for her. BTW, the fact that you have made 6 (or more?), games for your wife, shows how much you love her. It happened that I found out about them yesterday, while clicking on your signature.

Nik, I didn't know your wife was pregnant!  Congratulations!

My wife is due to squirt one out in the next few weeks too!

And by-the-by, I've used SSH's star suggestion before.  It works like a charm!
