Have you ever wanted to see how some ags games look in "full" 3d(not 3d modules) well have I got a few pics for you and peak at AGS 3.3D!

[note] To view these correctly you must cross eyed your eyes until you get a still picture in the middle of the two.
[note]AGS 3.3D will have the option in the con frig menu to change the type of 3d that suits you best so you don't go cross eyed ;]

Icey, you say full 3D when it's not even close. The concept of what you are trying to accomplish here is neat, but I wouldn't want to be crossing my eyes for an entire game :P

The first one you only made the little part that says, "3D", depressed a bit and the arrow only came out a couple pixels.

The Kuma Story one is the best one, but there really isn't anything to shake a stick at here either...

And you didn't even do anything for the last one!

Try again, I say, and get it right the next time, or as Billy Joel would say, you should have gotten it right the first time. I think you've got a cool idea to show pictures like this of AGS games. Keep trying and edit some more. I'm sure they will get better with the more you do.

Just don't post them prematurely. Work on them until you get them right.

But hey the idea is really nice. I don't mind it if you'd pull this of in a more awesome way.

It's amazing how long you can actually keep them crossed. I remember there was this plugin for Quake 3 (or was it Quake 2?) that did stereoscopy. I had two screens and lined them up and played it for hours; it was pretty amazing. I've been running into lampposts and doors for weeks.
Life is like an adventure without the pixel hunts.

Ok I will try and fix them and see what else I can find that is easy to make 3d on ags. But your right about the last one. I did do a little bit but there is to much in the picture to move around to get it 3d.

That crosseyed thing. Okay let's talk serious, I have this thing with my eyes, that the song double vision by foreigner sums it up. Due to a optologist that fucked up and gave me glasses of wrong specifications, I developed a thing called double vision. That means occasionally when tired or stuff, it occurs randomly at times, I see the images from both eyes blending in a wrong way. Imagine a complete distortion of the perspective of your view depth.

THEREFORE, DON'T DO STUPID THINGS! You don't know what and how the f@#$ its like. Try driving. Occasionally I'm alone at the road and for no reason, I break, cause I'm crossing a very narrow road, and I don't want to end up on someone's car.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

oh I'm sorry I mean it's just I small suggestion or more like an module that would be cool to use in the next version of AGS. But I also said there should be a option to chose different types of 3D like this one and 3d glasses so you don't go cross eyed. :-\

Phemar

Dude, I must be retarded or something because all those images look pretty two dimensional to me. When I cross my eyes everything just goes blurry and I have no idea what's going on... :/

Domino

And I thought wearing glasses to see in 3D was a pain... ;)

Ali

I think this is a funny idea and it's a shame people are having a go at you for it. The Kuma Story one works really well!

stereoscope things like this are always fun but I can't help giggle at the idea of someone crossing their eyes whilst playing a whole game.

I mean that shit just *needs* a television commercial.

Like those Wii commercials but with everyone sat with their eyes crossed.

Metal Gear Acid 2 on the PSP came with a foldout cardboard viewer that allowed you to watch cutscenes from MGS3 in a stereoscopic format, when said viewer was placed over the PSP's screen.

The left eye only saw the left part of the screen, and the right eye only saw the right part of the screen, with your brain syncing up the images. It worked pretty well.

Just crossing your eyes also worked.

I presume the upcoming Nintendo 3DS works in a somewhat similar way, only with less eye gymnastics.

no i think the 3DS works like those little cards that display different images depending on which angle you look at them.. i forget the name. (Stereogram?)

because the 3DS's screen is about the same width as the distance between your eyes I think that would work providing you looked at the screen head on.

Haha. I get that when I've been drinking a bit or if I don't wear my glasses and get tired and my eyes don't focus. Then it's hard to get them back to correct vision. Even worse when I've been drinking heavily that I often have to just close one eye just to comprehend what is going on at further distances. It's horrible. ;D

I really need to get new glasses though. I've had them for over 5 years and they are unbelievably scratched that I only wear them for driving. I'm too cheap to go to the optometrist and get a new set of glasses. I've been thinking that I should either do laser eye surgery, or go for the glasses. And I know that once I get glasses, I won't get laser eye surgery. But laser eye surgery is expensive and I'm bloody cheap (not poor, just cheap). It's a big circle of money spending, which I haven't done yet, because I'm too cheap. :D

Gudforby

I'm saving for laser surgery. And I will NEVER play a game where I need to cross my eye.

Tonight I attended a party and one  of my lenses parted in two. The solution was taking both lenses out, with a funny effect.
Due to the focusing problem the effect of alcohol was multiplied. Six beers and I feel extremely drunk...

Ah, yes, that makes more sense. The viewing angle on the 3DS is reportedly very tight, and that would probably explain why.

As for more traditional formats, I've yet to experience a form of glasses-based 3D that didn't leave me queasy. From old red/green cardboard ones, to the weirdly off-putting Panasonic ones I tried at a local Harvey Norman's. I couldn't see myself using any of them for an extended period of time. Maybe I'm just not built for 3D.
