I have more than 10 top songs.. Excuse me while I post away 15 or so. 10 is not nearly enough.

Danzig, How The Gods Kill

I swear, this is the only song that ever made me cry.

Lacuna Coil, Entwined

It's a nice, "cold' sounding song, it's so depressing and wonderful.

Dimmu Borgir, Puritania

You have to hear it to understand. It's... menacing and awesome.

Nightwish, Wish I Had An Angel

Your perfect mix of grindy metal and soft sounding vocals. Gotta love symphonic metal.

Children Of Bodom, Triple Corpse Hammerblow

It's a lovely, fast song and it's got very nice keyboards. CoB are insane and awesome.

Soilwork, Sadistic Lullaby

Another song you have to hear to get. It just has that speed and feel that's really stirring.

Prodigy, Breathe

Didn't think I'd put techno in a mainly metal list, did you? It's a nice song, it's "heavy" for the style too, and catchy.

Thrice, Blood Clots And Black Holes

Emocore! You just have to sing along with this one. It's really stirring.

Cradle Of Filth, Mannequin

Have to hear to understand. It's softer than black metal, but it's still pretty heavy, and fast.

Killswitch Engage, Declaration

This one really hits you in the chest.

Iron Maiden, 2 Minutes To Midnight

I like the story the lyrics tell in this one, and it's very ear pleasing.

Blood Brothers, Doctor!Doctor!

Like all of their songs, this one is extra trippy, and it breathes pure desperation.

Rammstein, Du Hast

It's hard not to love Du Hast. It's very catchy and heavy at the same time.

Pantera, This Love

It's a slow, trippy song. I listen to it when I'm sleepy. In fact, I'm listening to it right now.

From Autumn To Ashes, After Dinner Payback

Emocore, again. Heavy and screamy yet still unmistakably emocore.

Eh, that's pretty much it for my favourite songs. I listen to a lot of different stuff, from emocore to grindcore.

10. Long Distance Rounaround - YES
      - Just some incredible guitar playing, great counterpoint between the three instruments of Guitar, Keys and Bass.....
9.   Love Lies Bleeding/Funeral For A Friend - Elton John
      - This epic off of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is one of the greatest pieces of rock music ever written.  If anyone ever doubts that Elton John is a genius, they need to listen to this.
8.   When The Levee Breaks - Led Zepplin
     - No drums on any rock song have ever sounded better.  What a mix.  Put it on in stereo, and watch it swirl around you!
7.   The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - Genesis
     - Prog rock greatness
6.   Billy Breathes - Phish
     - The end coda to this song is the most beautiful piece of music ever written.  It makes me cry.  It is the finest thing ever recorded by this band, and the pinnacle of their career, which to me, is more than just a bunch of stupid potheads following them around.
5.   When The Circus Comes To Town - Los Lobos
    - Possibly the saddest song ever written.  Makes me weep, and think of everything I ever did wrong in my life.
4.   Voodoo Chile - Jimi Hendrix/Stevie Ray Vaughn
     - Mysticism channeled through six-strings.  Unreal.  Both versions have such dark power to them, it's captivated me for years.
3.   Hells Bells - AC/DC
     - Best opening riff to a song, EVER!  Anytime I plug in my electric guitar, I gotta wail this one out.
2.   Bitches Brew - Miles Davis
     - Okay, this ENTIRE ALBUM is just crazy, and a great example of what the 20th century can accomplish in terms of crazy music.  Sometimes words aren't needed, and people forget that.  Lyrics are far too often a crutch for the simpleminded to lean on.  "Anything that is too stupid to be said is sung....." - Voltaire
1.   Dogs - Pink Floyd
      - Stop.  Do Not Pass Go, leave your home and buy Pink Floyd's 1977 album, ANIMALS, if you do not already own it.  If you don't like Pink Floyd at all, don't worry, you can listen to your Justin Timberlake and be happy.  BUT if you like Floyd and all you know is Dark Side and The Wall or Wish You Were Here - GET ANIMALS.  It is their greatest album of the seventies.

Adamski

Sigur Rós, good taste that man.

Wasn't it PUSA that covered Video Killed The Radiostar?

AGA

Video Killed the Radio Star was originally by Bruce Woolley & The Camera Club. It was covered by The Buggles, Yes, Racoon, Brown Derbies, UNC Clefhangers, Billy Idol,  Presidents Of The United States, Nine Days, Custard, Erasure, Paisley Wheelchair Experience, Weston, pillows, Hi-Posi, Ben Folds Five, Lolita #18, Bouncing Souls, Better Than Ezra and Glenn Hughes (according to The Covers Project).

Pink Floyd (well, not so much the Roger Waters stuff, "The Wall" was kind of lame, Animals owned)

Dude, I used to give reggae a gander, but I can only take so much of it.  It reminds me of all my hippie friends who are just stoned and can tune out the repetitive chords and off-time beats.

Most of my friends were hippies in college.  We were PhishHeads.
