Point 1 was not new. As far as I know point 2 was original with Jesus.

I know many of you are athiests but that's beside the point. Many people are very fond of the Bible and all the Truths in it (which I'm sure you consider pointless little sayings that you would love to make fun of) and you just make ridicule of everything in the Bible a cheap terrible way.Ã,Â Ã,Â Ã,Â

I know many people who would be offended by many of the things said here, but as the majority of the forums are (non believing in God types) it doesn't seem that anyone was offended by anything yet.

The Bible is the greatest book in the universe though I see some of you don't regard it that much.

I know religion, to people who don't believe in it, seems stupid. But I guess my question is, why torment the people who accept the Bible as truth and Jesus as their Savior?

If you really have an issue with christianity, can't you be respectful and mature about it.

What about that little rule # 2, which says:

Post in a mature manner. Remember, the minimum age here is 16 - if you're unable to act that age, don't post.

What did christians ever do to you to make you so bitter? Remember just because somebody says they're a christian doesn't mean they really are one. If they cut you down, criticized you or tried to force their religion and beliefs on you, they aren't much of a christian.

Half of the teasing in this thread is based on the fact that the original post is completely random. It states two articles of faith (I'm not going to start an arguement by calling them either "facts" or "opinions") and a question.

If ggss had actually put a little effort into the post--"I am a Christian, these are my beliefs, this is why I believe them, this is what other people say, what are your thoughts?"-- we could have had a discussion. As it is, we would have written similar responses to a thread called "My puppy is awesome! My puppy can do tricks!" with the entire post consisting of "What do you think of puppies?"

That's because it's not the greatest book in universe. That title is reserved for 'Kloblartz and Prejudice' from the planet Nebulon. Second place goes to 'Green Eggs and Ham'.

As much as it's noble for people to start a topic on the bible, it's probably better if they started a post like this in, say, oh I don't know, a Christian forum. I think you'd get a more productive discussion there. We make fun of the bible -- that could be okay for people to handle and I'd like to think any direhard Christians wouldn't judge us for doing so. After all, we are only human as much as anyone. If you prick us, we bleed too. And while on the topic of other points of view, why is it always the Bible? How come no one asks what we think of the Koran?
