Sometimes I feel outnumbered by Europeans on the forums...any hockey fans around here besides me?

I'm not very interested in what happens in NHL or so. But yeah, I played for several years as a goalkeeper on the national level if you can say that about 14-year-old juniors.

And I'm a pretty big fan of Finnish hockey, especially Tampereen Ilves, and the WM is close, so I'm really excited again. After all, hockey's quite a big thing here, so...

Olny 500 000$ of dammage, damnit!
The habs fans are not what they used to be. :'(
"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. Destroyed pigeon nests on the roof of the toolshed. I watched dead mice glitter in the dark, near the rain gutter trap.
All those moments... will be lost... in time, like tears... in... rain."

I could only imagine what would of happened if they lost.

How stupid to riot just because you got into the second round of the playoffs. Now that is pathetic.

Here in Buffalo, we've had many terrible results with our sports teams and yet, no riots or anything unusual. Cough, Cough....4 Super Bowl losses in a row...Cough.Cough, and we still didn't have our city burned to the ground.

edit: Love Hockey, Go Sabres!!! (next season)

pretty much all the damage was done by regular hoodlums, and not by the real habs fans. you can see in various youtube videos and news reports the same drunk homeless people and drug addicts that are out all the time are the ones at the root of it. anyway, it was a good game, and also, i live 2 blocks from where some of those flaming cop cars were :S

I am pretty stoked the Avs moved on.  Now that we are playing our rivals, I am hoping it will rev us up and we'll go far.

The Maple Leafs played in the playoffs once.....

But I still watch at least four games a week during the playoffs -it's almost more enjoyable not having any emotional investment in the outcome.  During the season I probably spend more time actually playing hockey as watching it on television: it's just a beer league, but I have fun.
