Looking for Scanner Driver, Love, Hope, Dreams

I formatted my PC recently, and when I was reinstalling the drivers I discovered my Astraslim Scanner driver is kind of screwed up.

I searched for the driver on the internet, and I found something claiming to be the driver... and it probably was, except it was a 30mb file, so I suspect it was bundled with the Scanner Software. I don't want or need the scanner software, and as it's 30mb, it'd take friggin' ages to download on my dial up. What I really want is the driver alone.

So, if anybody can find it or if you happen to have it and can send it to me... here's the details.

UMAX Astraslim 1200 Scanner, XP driver

I know you guys can do pretty much anything, so...

I just thought of something I didn't think of before.. I'm gonna dl the 30 meg file and see if it does have the software, and if so, I'll just pick the driver file for the poor girl.

Ireland was officially a third world country up until the late 80's, I think. And we still get lots of sympathy-money from the EU. Ha ha.

Now I do have an empty feeling in my stomach for you. I think I will fill it with potatoes from the huge stockpile we have over here. Seriously, it's like, raining potatoes.

Sometimes scanner companies just use modified models from bigger brand companies... I'm sure the model she has is a derivation of a model that is on driverguide.. Google is good for finding that stuff out. I dunno, but if you're so kind to extract only the driver.. i guess that works.

I took out just the .inf file and sent it to her, it miraculously installed itself, dunno if it was the inf file or just Yufster's incompetence.

Well.. you can right-click .inf's and click install.. Maybe that's what she did.
