Mittens 2006?

I know it's a bit early to be asking, but are there any plans for next years Mittens? So far we've been to Britain, Sweden, New York and Greece. Alright. So what about the Midwest?

I'm not just saying this because I live in the Midwest and it's a cheap way for me to attend, but I also say it because it is quite a unique place to visit and the area I am in is a rather popular tourist area.

There are 2-3 pristine camping areas within an hour of the metropolitan area (one is actually only 20 minutes.) There is tons to do in the cities, and the camping spots are clean and fun. The one camping site even has many caves to explore!

This is just a suggestion, but I urge everyone to seriously consider it. I will be 18 by then and more than happy to arrange everything!

Maybe it has. I dunno. I never read the threads anymore because it just makes me want to go when I know I could never afford it.

The "official" rule is that the location of the next year's Mittens is decided at Mittens. It's kind of like Fight Club in that respect, except it's more like Sex Club.

Yeah, around here there is a LOT of tourist attractions. More then a week of stuff to do. Plus, because we aren't an extreamly popular tourist area outside of the casinos, everything is really cheap.

Wasn't Mittens supposed to be in Australia this year but the only people who could go were the Australians?

I've mentioned it before, we impovershed americans who can't make it out to Greece or England or upstate New York should have an insurgent Amerittans ourselves.

We had it in USA last time, so chances are we're gonna pick some other nations before returning there.

Australia is still a hot candidate, if only the aussies who'd organise it could start announcing it a bit earlier and with more passion!

Next year, I demand a full-time working comittee, mortally dedicated and with only one goal in their minds; to make mittens australia happen! Then I would consider spending 1500 $ on a ticket.

Well, I'd say the midwest would be most fair, as it is in the middle. Iowa isn't quite the middle, but it's the most popular area of the Midwest (Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee) all within 3 hours from here.

Nebraska would be the middle, but who the hell wants to go there?

We tend to not have simulateous Mittens gatherings, because then it would diminish the essence in several points

We did test the water for this years Mittens IMMEDIETLY after last years Mittens, so there was a very very very long period for prospective candidates to give some indication they were coming. Just indication that epople other than AGA would buy a plane ticket and it could have gone ahead, but there was by far not enough reaction by the time we reintroduced it later on.

Mittens Australia won't happen unless the rest of you give some reason for it to be organised. If it's organised on vague promises of that's cool, most of the people who said they would come would soft cock out of it anyway.
