Need logo

I'm not very good at all at logos! I just don't have enough 1337 PS skills yet..

So I was wondering if you guys could come up with different ideas for logo art for my film company "Snapshot Pictures".

It would be much appreciated, and I would love you forever, and your name would be in the credits of every movie! How's that for gain!?

So, what do you guys got! Give me your best shot.

(A nice square resultion would be nice.. 640x480 or something to that extent.)

Here's my totally original logo ideas:

A coffee ring! Not already used by Lucent and 10001 other companies...

A swoosh or some other arc of an ellipse or circle: not already used by Nike and 10001 other companies

How about a shotgun opened to be reloaded... snap shot... geddit?

Iqu.. I'm thinking, if that could be animated to zoom in slowly and make it all neat looking.. We could play some male voices acting like their actually shooting.. Twould rock! Also.. I kinda designed with animating in mind, it's just my pc's a bit... well... crap, really.  Ergo, it take time.

Picture to Studio... Doing now... No problem.

Right.  Not finished yet as my pooter crashing faster John Denver...

Ideas Iqu had:
1. Sound - Polaroid Camera fading into old style cine-cam sound (think projector-ish).
2. I have a plan to do something with the first part, where the pictures falls from behind view (thru view point).  It will seem like the photo is just a picture frame type thing.  (i.e. zooming out from the undeveloped black section, and rotating somewhat.
3. "Studio" does sound better.
4. If everyone in the world sat down at exactly the same time, would it cave in?  - off topic, I know, but it has me both intrigued and aroused.

I didn't bother finding out a polaroid photo's real aspect ratio, or choosing good fonts or figuring out if it should be caps or not. This is just the idea:




Point being that it works as a black and white image. If you use it you've gotta figure out the points above yourself. Choose whatever colours you like as long as it's high contrast like it's now.

Iqu, I like yours, but what is the logo? The entire thing, with the faded copies of the polaroid above and below or just the one in the center? Try fading out the background between the two guys to improve contrast. Oh and the 'Studios' bit looks weird, maybe the font/outlining or placement. Either way, I'd use it if I were lgm .

Edit: Saw tehe second one. Ignore that "what is the logo" bit .

It's a bit fast IMO, but cool. I liked the res you had before aswell.. It woulda look great on film. But I guess you can always make it work.

Do whatever you deem necessary to make it better.. Also, did you do that in Flash?

Flash? Hm... Why didn't I think of that.
I just faffed about with my usual combination of Paint Shop Pro (7 no less) and Animation Shop (insert version number, I forget which).
You liked the resolution I had before?..  Um, it's still the same size, I just had to remove the blank sections to prevent my pc from crashing every seventh click.
I had a problem with the timing of it, as everything is jerk on my pc, once I suss out how to fade things in flash it'll be sorted.
I'm currently searching for samples so you can hear my glory as well as gaze upon it.

Probably post the new version in ten hours time.  Don't worry, I'm not wasting that much of my life, I'm just netless between 4pm and 2am.  Damn Tesco.net, damned ntl: ...

I'm kinda stupid actually, I should've used flash to begin with, but the problem is as follows:
In the Start menu, I have a section called "Art Tools".  There is also a section called "Internet Tools".  Flash is in the net tools, and when I decide to art something up I naturally choose the first section.  I am an idiot.

Well, back to doing what I should've been doing while I was busy doing this...
