the way to win an AGS award is to make a game that has AGS forum members as characters in it... Don't bother with putting any great thought into how the game will really work in particular. As long as it has an extended intro with hilarious references to the MITTENS gang, you're on a winner!

Well, hopefully you'll start typing properly, make your first game, and then make a better one, and then a better one, and maybe you'll be an honorable member of the AGS society one day....

There is no exact date (GMT??). It tends to cover a certain period. For two weeks, people nominate theri favourite games. The top five for each category are chosen. Then for the next two weeks, everyone votes for the winner.
