Hi! I'm Remy from the Netherlands. I really enjoy designing games. I published two (very short) games on Itch using Gamemaker. I would like to give designing games a new shot with adventure game studio.

Really look forward to connecting with other game and game developer enthousiasts! 😊

Hello, I am Drew. I am trying to learn as much about the adventure game studio engine as I can right now.

I am hoping to make connections and hopefully collaborate with fellow forum members on some smaller games in the future while I am working on my own project.

Hope you all are doing well.

Hi Emmanuel! We're glad to have you here. It will be interesting to see what you bring to the adventure table, seeing as you've worked on a lot of other game genres before. If you plan to make adventure games, that is...AGS can be used in a lot of ways. Welcome!  :)

RuddyNinja

Hello! Im Nisan. I've been playing Point & Click games Since I can remember myself. My favorites are Simon the Sorcerer, Bud Tucker, and The Longest Journey.
Recently I've been dabbling in Godot, but I've come across AGS and I am looking to test it out.
Nice to meet you all!

Totem

hi, Totem here!! I've been playing adventure games since age 5, my favorite is Curse of Monkey Island. I tried getting into AGS once or twice when I was 10 or so but I never got very far, so I'm excited to see what I can do now!
My favorite AGS games are Lamplight City (been meaning to replay it for a while now) and Perfect Tides, which I actually finished yesterday and it was wonderful, it actually inspired me to download AGS again.
I also speedrun adventure games, so if you need playtesters let me know and I'll try to break your game :-D
Worked on the translation from Spanish to English in Clothes Line (2024)

Hi, @RuddyNinja and @Totem ! We're glad to have you. This is a friendly and very social site, so browse around and see what discussions are up, play some games and tell us how you feel about them, or jump into one of out many forum competitions. And feel free to ask tech questions about AGS, too. I guess I'll need to take a look at Bud Tucker or Clothesline now.  ;)

Hello, snobes here. I've been developing a game in SCICompanion with my brothers for the past year. Just discovered AGS from reviewing The Crimson Diamond, and I'm in love with AGS!! So many quality of life improvements from SCI to AGS. One brother does the art and animation, and he is ecstatic with AGS! I do the code and the API is well documented and intuitive. Thank you to the devs who maintain the editor, engine, and the docs. Much appreciation! Looking forward to porting our game to AGS and getting it over the finish line.

I've already forked the AGS repo and am diving into the source code as I want to help with its development in any way I can.

I do have one question regarding running AGS Editor on M2 mac. I've posted my question on this thread https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/general-discussion/running-ags-on-my-new-macbook-pro-m1/msg636665574/#msg636665574. If more experienced users know how to get AGS working on a mac with M2, then please let me know. That would be a huge help.

Nice to meet you all.

Update: for posterity, I followed the instructions found in this thread https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/editor-development/ags-editor-on-macos/msg636663639/#msg636663639 to get AGS Editor working on my M2 Mac.

Hello everyone. It's been a long time. I wouldn't call myself a newbie, but after being gone for 8 years, I feel like one again. I created the AGS, The Visitor series, one, two and three. Glad to see a batch of familiar faces are still around.

My son is now 11 and I decided to show him AGS. I've started creating a 4th game to the series with him. I'm probably about 35% of the way through. Looking at a possible Halloween time release. Once I'm further along I'll make a game in production thread.

Thankfully I kept many old programming notes and old graphics and sprites to make it possible. I'll be around and looking forward to joining the community again. It really does feel good to be back.

cat

Welcome back! I'm really looking forward to a new visitor game  ;-D

Thank you, cat. Very happy to see you are still here. All of you bring back such great memories. I also love seeing many of you still have the same avatars.

I'm having a great time getting creative with my wife and son. We are full steam ahead. Looking forward to show more soon.

Zwiffer

Hello everyone! Zwiffer here. Been a lifelong fan of Classic adventures.

Primarily Sierra and LucasArts style. I'm currently working on an AGS game based on a story I've been writing for a while. I'm going with a style based on the SCI0/SCI1 era of Sierra Games.

I'm hoping to learn from you and get inspired by your work.

heltenjon

Welcome, Zwiffer. We look forward to playing your game when you're ready to show it. You'll find many Sierra fans here, and the community is awesome.  (nod)
