No Delete Account Action?

I haven't been on AGS Forum for a very long time so I want to delete my account.

Problem is, I can't.

I've checked the help section and it says there is a delete account action in the profile page which is failing to appear for me not matter what I do. and I can't find any contact info to ask an Admin.

Some ideas for this?

Go to view your profile and on your left hand side there are a list of options. The last one under "actions" is the option to delete your account.

That is the "Action" that doesn't exist for me, which has caused my problem

As far as I know, you cannot delete an account. I looked around my own account out of curiosity and couldn't find a way either.

Why do you need to delete the accound? Why not just change it so the e-mail and other information is hidden/incorrect and just abandon it?

No Delete action there

Guess I'll have to go with the incorrect info route. unless someone can provide a link to the delete page?
just fancy a bit of closure rather than leaving it floating around

None of the above. It's the one and only ShadowRifter666.
I still remember writing that code for making a character select screen, then trying to make character specific actions throughout the game. It worked, just not very well.

I followed babar's link as well, cannot find it either.
Is there a difference between certain accounts? I'm not deleting my account, though, just curious.

Babar, Indie: It's probably in our profile due to our restricted access permissions. Just like how we can delete our posts.

So why can't I see or access the delete action?
If you look in the help page, under profile it says there is "Delete this account" in actions. No matter the status of the user. Standard, mod or admin

Also, indieboy appears to have access in all the weird stuff, like deleting his account, locking his topics. I am beginning to suspect a huge corporate conspiracy here.
