It feels about time for the next One Room One Week competition. I'm posting to ask firstly about interest, and secondly about when would be the best time to hold it. The Christmas holidays would be fine for me, but I know a lot of people have things to do over them, how many of you would be interested and available?

veryweirdguy

I would most certainly be interested in any week over the next month or so, excluding this week obviously.

Babar

Please, please, please, do not hold it on the week starting 17-18th. Everytime an OROW starts, it's during some tests of mine, and I hope it won't be the same with this one. The week after that may be troublesome for some because it includes Christmas and all, but if it can't be that one, perhaps the week after that?

That's the week I planned to hold it, because I'll be in Germany 26-4th and it's best avoiding the few days around Christmas... we can hold it some other time, I don't mind really.

Ishmael

Second week of 2007 or later would suit me best. Have to see how my yet unscheduled but already decided goings settle themselves, though...
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

Second week of 07 would work ok for me, I'll be in uni, but I will at least be able to run the competition.

veryweirdguy

I think most people will be starting uni then (I know I am) but that doesn't mean it will be too stressful - it's better to have it at the start of a semester than an end at any rate - people will have less to do for the most part.

Chicky

christmas period would be a great for me! I'd be well up for it!

Ow. Id rather go for early 2007

I know it sounds counterintuitive, but why not extend OROW over a series of two or three weeks. Anyone who wants to submit states the day they're begining working on their game, and if they don't submit their game in time, they don't qualify. That way we can try and fit OROW into our own schedule, rather than having to worry about someone elses.

Vel

Anytime from the 18th of December to the 7th of January would suit me fine.
Also, do you plan on finally setting a theme of some sort or will you just say you will and then forget about it?

Ishmael

OROW's worked just fine before. We just need a date when not only like two people can enter.

OROW! WHOO! \o/

*ahem*

Any date is fine for me.

Are we planning on a loose OROW, like last time, or a theme/restriction based one?

I'm not sure which I prefer. :-\

I could participate in 1st or 2nd week of January. Fine.
Always dreamed of OROW.

Erenan

Definitely sometime in January for me.

Pesty

I can participate any time between now and January 7th, and I'd really like to be able to enter.

I love these completions. I'll probably attempt in it.

Czar

Should then there be 2 OROWs in a matter of a few weeks?

The first during the holidays for those who can enter,
and the second in early 2 oh 7, for those who weren't able to enter the first one, or weren't able finish what they planned for the first one.

I don't think it is impossible, especially because it is a one room thing, so its not much thinking involved (unless you are planning a mega spectacle, which you probably won't finish in any of the mentioned dates).

More entries, anyone?

Just a question...

Last OROWs were without any given guides, or rules. Since it has been announced now, most people would normally go on start designing right now! Heck I already PMed somebody ;D!!!! I know the meaning of OROW, but still isn't it by passing this meaning by asking and by this thread?
