There's a local political radio show which my dad was listening to this morning, and as I walked past I caught a few seconds of it... the presenter mentioning that people could follow the show on Twitter.

I really don't get it. I don't understand why every man and his dog and television show have this.

Eh, I'm enjoying the hell out of twitter. And if someone finds a use for it, they should give it a try. If it ends up not adding anything, then they can stop using their account, but if they don't try, how'd they ever know?

I was watching a repeat of a show and usually you see "Lines are now closed" when they mention the phone number, but this time people tweeted questions and it read "Twitter is now closed". It was very surreal.

I haven't been updating much lately, but then I have nothing useful to say.
But for those who do have something useful to say Twitter can be a very handy tool.
And remember it's not just about tweeting, it's about following too... and if you follow the right people, it can be really fun.

It's not that I'm whining  I genuinely am surprised about the explosion of Twitter amongst people who never seemed to use internet social networking before (like small time political call in shows on regional radio).
