blah-blah and so-and-so have given their son (3 years old, I believe?) tatoos. What about that?

What an amazing idea...

Seriously!  That's awesome!  It's like those little tablets that you put in hot water, right? and they grow into big dinosaur sponges.  Except, instead of a tablet, it's a living baby! And instead of a dinosaur sponge... it's an adult with a really stretched out tatoo of a soccer (foot) ball and a high psychiatrist bill because of his parent-issues!

Nikolas

Kinoko, sorry it's also my mistake. It's tattoos and not tatoo!

Anyway this is a true story. But it is amazing! And I wish this "parents" could spend some time with a phychiatrist to sort out all their problems.

Well, me as a father would never do that to my son. Of course he's only 21 months old, so I still have time!!!!!! :P

Mordalles

well, anybody who've seen Adaptation will know that Nicholas Cage can act.
one great movie. excellent.

and i think Tom Cruise is also one of the better actors around.

if you don't think so, watch Magnolia.
"What am I doing? I am quietly judging you."

and Vanilla Sky is also really good.

however, the best actor out there is Jonnhy Depp. just cause every time u see him, u see a completely different actor and u see the character he is playing, and not the actor playing the role.

roles like Dan Joun De Marco (have no idea how to spell it), Secret Window, Edward Scissorhands, and of course Pirates of the Caribbean are just brilliant cause he makes it brilliant. Pirates of the Caribbean would really have been an ordinary movie if it wasnt for Depp's brilliant character.

i dont know who u guys think r good actors, since the rest just plays in stupid romantic comedies or boring "big budget movies".

if u wanna talk about BAD actors, talk about Icecube and that Texas Ranger.

I'll give ya Johnny Depp. But, I don't think I've ever seen him play as a normal person. He's kinda got a niche playing eccentric characters...

Kinoko

Then you need to get yourself down to the video store and see Nick of Time, my friend. JD plays a totally ordinary person and he does it BRILLIANTLY. That there is a performance you can't blame on the quirkiness of the role or the fact that it's a Tim Burton film. Ordinary, but fantastic. One of my favourite JD roles ever.

:( Girls like Johnny Depp more than they like real people :(

You know what I thought when I walked out of "Once Upon a Time in Mexico?" I thought...

That was the stupidest movie I've ever seen. I loved it.

And it was all Johnny Depp's fault.

As for the other recect posts here: First, Posh Spice has always needed to be beaten repeatedly with her own ripped-off arms anyways. I think throwing her baby to the fires of Moloch would be totally justifiable as a mercy killing. And for Nicholas Cage and.... Kal-el???Ã,  :o
I heard them making fun of it on the news, but I never actually heard which of the many names for Superman he had actually used of the many they were making fun of him by. What a moron. Even if he could act, he's still a total cretin.

Johnny Depp has profited enormously from the fact he looks like Blazej Dzikowski.

No it's not! Sorry mate but it's not a good movei. It is an exact replicate from a Spanish, or Portoguise (sp) movie where Penelope was pleying the bad girl...

But since we are starting to discuss things a little more seriously, let me say a couple of things:

Well, even I, if I had the chance to make as many takes as I wanted to, I would be able to act! And one movie the cannot be questioned (with Tom Cruise), is Eyes Wide Shut. But it's a great movie because of Cubric and not Cruise...

Anyway an actor can prove if he/she's worthy on the theater and not on a screen, for the reason mentioned above. And of course, me, at least, feel a little insecure judgeing people I don't know, about something they do for which I know nothing...

I'm not an expert, I'm a composer. I could very well judge any music you give me but for the rest no. The rest comes to personal taste. It is kinda weird though, that most people seem to agree on that personal taste (like that Nicholas Cage sucks as an actor).

And of course there will be films that will show that Cage can act! And for God's shake, he's being paid enormous ammounts of money, for a lot of years now. He must be doing something right? There's no way a tottally untalented actor could get away with 10+ films...

The same goes for Tom Cruise... And Magnolia was a great film by Anderso/en, who is amazing...

But the child is destined to be a dick anyway.
Who is Blazej Dzikowski? I won't google it... ;D

yeah, i know its based on a spanish movie, and a lot of spanish complained.
i didnt like it the 1st time, for some reason, but when i watched it again i loved it.
anyway, its a matter of opinion. some hate the movie, some love the movie. im with the latter.

that's the trouble with movie, everybody's a movie critic.

Johnny Depp is one of those actors that comes along once every so often, there ain't any actors better than him ...

I never really thought much of tom cruise, until i watched magnolia, and that lawyer movie. He is an enormously talented actor.

Nicole Kidman is the excellent, like johnny, the depth in roles she playes and how she lives in them is outstanding.

right now, let the rest of you of course give your opinions ...

Does anyone think that Nicholas Cage is a hideous actor? Every time I see him, I can't see the character he's playing, I see a guy acting. He can't play different types of people. he can't do accents, he can't display emotion, and he especially can't convincingly play a character that's clever.

So, anyone else agree?

I agree, but I rather like him actually.  It's always Nick, but I'm cool with that.

I'll have to check that out, I've never seen him play a "normal" role....

edit:

Wait a minute, was that the one where he had to run around and so some crazy crap for like terrorists or something?

Mordalles

Johnny Depp also plays a normal role in "Whats eating Gilbert Grape".

Yeah, but it's an eccentric movie.....
