Se7en (spoilers)

I've just rewatched Se7en for the first time in quite a few years, so, as you do, I'm noticing a few more things about it. For those of you who have seen it, am I wrong in thinking that all the murders made sense except for "sloth", in the sense that all the other victims embodied the sin they were accused of (ie. fat guy was "gluttony", rich guy was "greed", prostitute was "lust", etc...)? Also, when John turns himself in at the policestation, he says, "I know you". I read on a discussion on imdb two theories concerning this. One, that he's alluding to understanding the detective, two, that he's simply being a little cocky and alluding to when they "met" outside of his apartment. To be honest, I don't think either one really fits, it really seems like an odd line to me.

But I'm interested in what others think ^_^

EDIT: As an extra note, I find this movie very hard to watch after the first sitting, because I keep looking at Brad Pitt's character knowing what's in store for him.

I was kind of uinprepared the first time I watched Se7en. I was expecting another Fight Club. In retrospect it really is a bloody good film...I definately wouldn't mind seeing it again...maybe...

I had read a review, before seeing the movie, in which it stated someone said it would be remembered as the film in which the bad guy gives the good guy the head of his wife.

Hell of a spoiler. Completely ruined the ending.

Whoops, my bad. Not a "review" per se, it was people talking about the movie. Some actor, or director. So they could put such spoilers, whereas a review couldn't.

Still, before I knew it I had read it. Damn you, writers! Damn you to hell!

That happened to me with the ending of "High Tension/Switchblade Romance"  Someone blurted the ending on IMDB before I saw it, so it was kinda anti-climactic when I first saw it.. But it's still a great film.

I guess I can be smug because the ending was a total surprise for me.

The camera work in the first 20-30 minutes is adorable.

Also, was it hard to watch with ad breaks?

Yes, every time an ad break came, it really felt like it was slicing the movie up much like an eigth victim.
