Ooooooookaaay... Stop hyperventilating!

It's true. It's coming!

Not much more to say...

Dan_N

Great Gmhoz's Toilet!

This... this... is... just... not possible... I think I'm hyperventialting over here...

This has got to be a gag of some sorts, it's... just... I never thought... I hoped... but I didn't think... Ok, I'll stop stuttering now...

I just hope they don't screw it up. I really hope they still keep it in 2D Isometric, though...

scotch

Was that a joke? It's 2007! It's 3d like any other RTS now.

I'm not a big follower of their products, but I'm impressed how much hype blizzard can generate still.

Seems like they manage to keep the good ol' StarCraft style still tho. Like this.

Nacho

I think SC1 was the RTSG I enjoyed most ever... Definitelly, this goes to my list.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Helm

that first video is quite fetishist

space boy

Wow, that was pretty sweet. They should make that into an actual movie. I guess I'd rather watch that than play the game.

I loved StarCraft the way it was, frankly...

Now it looks too much like WarCraft III to me...

Although, I must admit, the models are highly detailed, and nicely animated...

Okay, fanboys, we know what we have to do - make a StarCraft 2 Fan Project in 2D with AGS, and be finished faster than they're. Welcome to the team, Dan, Victor, Nacho, space boy and scotch. No, you don't have a choice. We start working tomorrow, come or else. ( ;))

I wonder how much res it would take up? Probably some new high-end computer, as usual, with some PS3 qualities that swallows electricity like a hungry beast. But nice graphics anyway, though... Only a bit too colourful..
I am just a shallow stereotype, so you should take into consideration that my opinion has no great value to you.

Woah. Looks great!
I've been saying for years that they should've made a sequel.
Maybe now they'll make a "Universe of StarCraft" to go with WoW.
I'd buy it.
The fediverse needs great indie game developers! Find me there!

Same here - World of StarCraft, despite not being announced or even likely, you already have addicts. But seriously, what kind of character could a Zerg player play? There's exactly one kind of roleplaying possible.

Frankly, the only Starcraft adventure game I could make would be a joke game...

So, Jefe Akatosh, what's my job?

Mr Flibble

I am epically excited about this.

StarCraft essentially was a massive part of my childhood, and this new game looks set to be just as fun.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

This is one stupid idea actually. WoW is still recent and still on top of the best selling MMORPG, it would be insanely stupid for them to create another MMORPG that would just canibalize most of their WoW players from one game to the other rather than bring more fans. Plus a few months ago, while they hinted Starcraft 2, they also hinted for another MMO that wouldn't be a RPG.

Personally, I'd prefer if they created new franchizes for their MMO. When compared to other RTS of its time, most of Starcraft's greatness was its epic, complex plots, an aspect they kept polishing in the games that followed Starcraft. I loved Warcraft 3's story, but now with WoW, I fail to see why I should grind hundreds of levels, gold and items just to follow its plot, and if I don't see what happen in WoW, why should I care anymore about Warcraft's RTS games' plot? It has the same ring as leaving the cinema room for a bathroom pause right in the middle of a movie and going back to your seat just in time to see the ending.

Dang this looks so sweet! I've been waiting for this for years and years.

I always Loved Warcraft and Warcraft 2. Starcraft however was a terrible game. I never understood why it was so popular. Hopefully they do a better job of this one and dont take it down the same path they took the Warcraft series.

WarCraft, and WarCraft II, although highly innovative for their times, had only two races which were exactly the same. StarCraft, however, had three races, which were completely different, but incredibly well balanced, and I think that's just one of the main reasons for it's popularity. Since each race had unique abilities, units, buildings etc. players could form hundreds of strategies... Also, StarCraft brought on a way of storytelling which was never before seen in RTS games: cinematics, coupled with the briefing room which seemed to actually come alive, and what would seem cinematics during the battle. Not to mention StarEdit, which is highly detailed, and which I love enormously...

What more can I say?
