I'm confused now, are you Chicky or Yufster?

I'm thinking the latter.

I doubt weed is the reason, but it IS relevant to tell the doctor you take it. Eh.. smoke it, whatever.

Meowster

erm I didn't post that... that's somebody with my profile name heh

I don't smoke weed...

Go see a doctor.

I used to be scared of doctors, and I put off seeing them - I always had little minor symptoms, and I explained them away.  Soon, I let it linger on too long.... and by the time I seriously saw doctors, my kidneys were already destroyed and now I'm one of those people who has no kidneys and has to do dialysis for the rest of his life.  (Or get a transplant - which I've already had one of, and that one recently failed).

It's better to get these things checked out - always ask questions and demand two things at the office - a urine test and a blood test.  They can pinpoint many serious or minor problems from these two simple tests.

Well, someone with your profile name with a period at the end of it.

Chicky

I would say that a doctor is your best bet. I'm sure the ags forum members have some insight and experience into this sort of thing but the doctor always knows best.

Then again our doctor passed my mothers brain tumor as a headache for 4 years and look where that got her.

I have something similar ... I suddenly need to take a deep breath.Ã,  I didn't know why.Ã,  Then I realized that it was because I wasn't breathing normally.Ã,  I was, subconciously, holding my breath.Ã,  It turned out to be something very common to do with stress.Ã,  It causes you to breath out, then just sort of delay breathing back in.Ã,  Which, obviously, slowly starves the body of oxygen, thus the sudden urge to take a deep breath.

Thats exactly what I get like often to!
(I gets pain in my chest aswell though... really bad ones.)

And I for sure stress alot!

I been meant to go see a doctor about that and other things.. but I just never seem to take the time for it.

I guess you should just see a doctor and you will find out whats wrong!
And so should I.....

Doctor-schmoctor! What's all this nonsense? There's nothing a doctor can do that gen-gen can't do better!

Hello!

I went to the doctor after all, and apparently it's anaemia...

...This is caused by erm... well apparently, my blood doesn't have enough erm.. blood... so it can't get oxygen to places fast enough because of.... not enough blood... or something... wasn't really listening.... so...

...I thought I'd mention this because a few of you mentioned problems with breathing. Apparently it has nothing to do with my lungs after all - it's my blood that's at fault. Brilliant!

So...yeah.

I love blood...!

And... it got a lot worse very quickly, especially since having my most recent period - I spent the past week literally gasping for breath every day and just falling asleep at my desk at work... It is very frustrating, especially now that I know it's not even that I just THINK I'm not getting enough oxygen... I'm actually really not...

SO I would recommend that if anybody gets any funny breathing things in the future, they get them checked out ASAP!!! Now I have to endure this horrible drowning feeling until my medicine and vitamins kick in and start to work...  :(

Nikolas

shit!

That's quite annoying, not exactly life threatening, but still annoying. Good luck with it...

Did the doctor propose some kind of solution to the problem, cause I'm not sure there is much you can do and in sever cases you need blood transfusion right? good thing I'm a blood donor! Maybe we shoud open the AGS blood donation "insert word here".

Anyways,

Good luck

I have anemia, as well, and it can be a pain in the ass.  However, mine stems from the fact that my kidneys are dead and produce no hemotocrit, which stimulates the bone marrow to make red blood cells which carry oxygen in the blood stream.  I have to get shots of "Epogen" (Procrit), as a replacement for what my body doesn't make.  Most "normal" people can just take iron supplements.

hmmm. maybe I should go get myself checked then :-\.
Got some bad excema? aswell right now. should get some cream for it..

All of these "See a doctor" posts are ridiculous, if you posted at enough off-topic forums about your obscure medical issue I'm sure someone would have eventually said anemia.
