But because I like you I'll let you off this one time. But try anything again and I'll charge you with interest!

Wrong again sir! First you steal my copyrighted content, and then you claim to be charging me to host it? Hah!

I'll see YOU in court!

However, and to actually focus on important stuff, i actually like the idea of playing some smash bros over the internet.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

The Oceanspirit!

But, are we supposed to constantly change those icons or what? Seriously, how do you come up with this stuff? You keep shoehorning "cool feature" of X into Y, although Y isn't cut out for having it.
I mean, just that code thing in your game alone, why even bother to put random characters in the code if everybody is going to end up with the same code anyway? Why even have a code if everybody gets the same additional download for free anyway?
It boggles my mind.

Oh you me the DLC, Free DLC vs $ DLC.

Free ones are not as great as the full ones. Free ones will be limited as well & also shorter the $ DLC. The free ones are more of a short quest that will allow you to gain money or maybe even new attacks for the original game once completed.

$ DLC are have different lengths however they will be as good as the original game. They work the same as the free DLC however there is better prizes for completing the DLC.

I hope that clears things up. Also yes you will have too update your post manually however you only need to make 1 post and just change the dot that like I did on my post.

The only thing being that your games aren't even worth paying for in the first place. Not to mention your marketing for that is terrible. "Paid DLC is pretty much the same thing, just longer." That ONLY WORKS WHEN YOUR GAME IS GREAT AND TAKES HOURS TO COMPLETE.

I remember when I was buying DLC packs for Guitar Hero 3 on my Xbox 360. I got more songs, which isn't much. No new characters, or new gameplay elements. However, the main game itself was GREAT and ADDICTING, so I was willing to shell out money for new songs, despite how the game was aging. Your game, although improved from your earlier games, is still not worthy of this option. I've said it before; no one is going to pay for your game.

On topic - I'd pwn you at SSB, or Mario Kart. I am king.

Icey

My my, you think my game is not worth it? I must say sir that my game isn't complete there for there can not be no judgement based my game as of yet. Sure I am making other games right now but that's only to build my skills. :=

If you like the game and you think it's good then you might want to buy the DLC which will only be like $1 for a new character or $2 for a new quest. This is what people will do.  ;)

On topic - hows about you try it :D

Khris

I'll quote myself because you didn't address anything I said and then said you didn't know what I was talking about.

It boggles my mind.

To paraphrase: the download of your latest game included a file called "pass3.png" which contains a code ("248N-VBL4-...").

Now I'm aware why professional game companies do this; they have lots and lots of different DLC and also use an algorithm to generate that code and on top put a unique code in every download/box.
None of this is the case with your "game". So why even have random characters in that code; it's pointless and again a desperate attempt to mimic a professional publisher. Why you are still doing this is what I don't get.
Also the "product registration card" talks of registering the game at this forum, which of course isn't possible.

It's not just pointless but ridiculous. Also, LOL at your facebook page, in terms of "working for/with Square Enix".

Icey

This is something I would like to try as it is something new to AGS that I have yet to see any one of you try. So far Monkey could have done it if he had thought of it first :=.

If someone helps me then I would like to take what they have shown me and put it to good use. When Dualnames helped me with setting up the online server in PMQ2 I was so happy and thank full but it got canceled due to it's complete failure. That is another reason as to why I haven't dropped the online part of PMQLegend because I know it can be successful. And I am aware of that however that has been there for some time I think before OSD was born. However I see no harm in dreaming. As a matter a fact that is how I met this person who might be doing 3D rendered cut scenes for PMQ legends.

btw, they are aware that I don't work for Square as I told them. ;)

Phemar

Oh, monkey could've done it... I wonder why he didn't then.

Oh yea, cos it's a shitty idea.

Icey

oh well, If I gotta be the first to try it and fail then oh well however what if I prove it's a great idea?

You should seriously be a business advisor or something.

"What's that? Your new software cost you several billion dollars and was a total and complete failure? You should resell the exact same software with a different name on it. It will be a huge success!"

Logic: it applies here.

I didn't remake the same thing. Last time I used that aggravating TCP plugin. The things I can do now with Wyz's plug in is what I wanted but couldn't do before.

The PMQ2 game got changed around so much that it took me to get room 40 to actually figure out what I was going to do to make it. But the game started to run too slow so I just canceled it.

#I said you could have done it because you were the one that gave me the code, However I did think of adding it first. I could be wrong but so far the way I see it is that no one was talking about it. The only time I here about DLC here is when some is talking about my game or when S.P.C was talking about.

@Khris: I have to fix the cards because I wan't people to just email the code until I figure out a better.

What's the point of this whole online thing? I downloaded your latest game, finished it, and deleted it after. What makes you think I'm going to stick around for a gimmicky feature that has no point at all?

Run too slow? Meaning what? You sound just like me when I was trying to make games. I basically got an idea in my head, and tried to make a game from it, and the end result EVERY time?

I had no story, no dialog, no idea HOW or WHAT to use for art/characters/sprites, so what I have now are about 15 incomplete "ideas" taking up hard drive space.

Look at every thread I've posted here about some game I was making. You will never find a complete game, and it's because of what I said earlier. All of those threads end similar to this:

Hey everyone due to difficulties (school, boredom, pr0n) I can't make super awesome adventure: the search armageddon reloaded resurrection part 5 and 3 quarters. Sorry  :'( :'( :'(

Even worse, half of those projects.... if you were to load them up in the editor, you would find absolutely nothing. No sprites, no rooms, no scripts. Just a title of a game. I feel bad about it too, because one of my projects actually had some reception and support from the community, but it was just me hashing sh*t together.

Seriously, PLEASE drop this feature! You've been told by I don't know how many people now that it's not even a good idea, yet you're still trying.

It's like knowing there's a room full of bombs but somewhere in the room is a tasty sandwich and despite your friends saying NO IT'S DANGEROUS that damn sandwich is too good to give up.

Actually... I would too if there was a tasty sandwich. Mmmmmm.... but hey, best of luck.

I had a story set for PMQ2 however I had to change it up so much due to the fact of what little stuff I knew how to do in AGS. Sure I could have gone back and took off those rooms other rooms but I thought I might mess up the game.

The online thing will be a lot better because before I wanted to have players venture together through the game like an MMO however I was just speaking out the ASS I didn't know how to do all of that. I can do that & more now however I just want it to be simple and have the story part as a single player with 4 people to control.

There are tones of things in there that will make you want to keep this on you HDD.

Thanx for the best of luck part, I can't drop this I already have it in my game and I can't take it out so if it's there it's there. I can't risk another PMQ game that's a fail. 2 is enough. :-\

Yes that is what Project64 uses, I guess that is what the K stands for in project64k :=

monkey0506

So wait.

You're telling me.

That you want.

One player character.

To be controlled.

By four people.

Over the internet?

;D

Yes. Best. Idea. Ever.

Also, I love how inoperable the cancer of including things in PMQ games is. "OH NO! I ACCIDENTALLY INCLUDED A VIRUS IN ALL OF THE PMQ DOWNLOADS...oh well, it was probably meant to be. Once it's in there, there's no way I can take it out." :=
