As i said earlier i finished the game but i am trying to find the "secret puzzle". I have read earlier posts and no one has yet to actually give any hints regarding this, only questions such as mine, so can someone help me and the others PLEASE??? ???Also, someone mentioned a gift for the pirate girl, what is it?

The gift for the pirate girl is involved in the bonus puzzle.Ã,  First, try to find something romantic to give to her.Ã,  You may have already tried to pick this up at the start of the game, but the game wouldn't let you because Pib didn't have a good reason to...now he does.Ã,  I hope that's not too cryptic for everyone.

I am sure about the bonus puzzle since I played and completed the game already.Ã,  I don't want to give a more specific hint since I think that most of the fun of bonus puzzles is discovering them yourself.

I did manage to get the bucket off of Seacookies foot a long time ago, but my arrow never changes color when I pass it on the ground or on Seacookies. :'(

Ya! I just finished apprentice 2. I believe I've also done bonus puzzle, so I though it would bring into mansion but not so.

Great game and I certainly cannot wait for next sequel.

You should have talked to Ollie before giving the T-shirt, and mention his unusual colour. Then he will answer that it is his "don't-bring-a-shirt-to-work-day". Then you should be able to give him the T-shirt.

Actually, you don't even have to speak to Ollie about his colour or look at him (strangely enough!)  .  All you have to do is ask Simon (at the racetrack) about the curse (and eventually about the gangster).  In order for that little tidbit to come up, you need to speak to the ticketmaster about the curse first.

Not a single character will give you any prompt. You might feel obliged to Jezelle for letting you take the test dive. And besides she is meant to be beautiful and "appealing". So, you might try to thank her properly by offering her something.

I have totally completed the game now, hidden puzzle and all. This was by far one of the best AGS games ever, i cannot wait for the last installment of the trilogy!!!

Here is a hint about the secret puzzle:

you cannot complete the secret puzzle until you help someone finish building something and have completed your underwater tasks. It involves taking something you cannot take without completing the above tasks and could not take earlier in the game

I have all but the ending within reach   I have the picture to cheer up seacookie but when i show it to him he says

then use it on desk
exit town and go to camp
exit camp and go to town
if highwaywoman is arguing, just pick the quill pen on the desk and now it's yours

Okay, this game is fantastic.. and I'm really enjoying it but I think I've encountered ANOTHER bug.  This is my 3rd time attempting to play the game through.  The first, I stupidly missed the pen and had to restart.  The second was with the grog.. I mixed the molasses with the rum, and then that with the sea-water and somehow ended up with lemon rum water or whatever it was called.  Of course, then when I got the lemon and tried to add it, it wouldn't let me because the game was under the impression that the lemon had already been added, but the molasses hadn't when it fact it was the other way round!  So I restarted again.  Now, I've done a bunch of new stuff from my previous game, added the lemon and molasses to the sea water.. but navy joe has VANISHED!  I have the autograph to give him as I did in my previous game but he just won't appear.  I've tried waiting there for ages, entering the bakery then coming back out, going back to the map then back in.. everything I can think of but he's just not appearing.  Is this a bug?  Do I have to restart the game AGAIN!?!?!

This is the first time I've seen anyone with that bug! Out of interest did you have the game saved before you added the ingredients to the seawater? Because it sounds like you might have triggered another bug    Especially if you've done all that wondering around and he has turned up!
You could try going back to the ship and asking the pirate for the recipe again and then maybe looking at your mixture, or try giving it to the pirate and then back to the village. That may trigger Navy Joe into turning up. See, if that helps before restaring from your last save. By the way, remember the old adage - save often

I started from the beginning since I got the updated version of Apprentice 2 and I can't get the highway woman to tell me about Foolkiller. I don't remember having to do anything before. I've seen her talking to the soldier... Anyone got a hint?
