I don't know much about DOS games on ags, but it runs on windows, if that was your question...

As far as I know, its a windows platform, as i played it on my windows PC

Right I've got the book but it never seems to stop raining at the track!! after getting the book I made the golem but the rain still won't stop. trying entering / exiting etc to no avail.. any help?

I don't seem to have the curse book, even though it said I did.  I went back to an earlier save to check - did the whole dragon thing again - there was nothing to pick up, and when I tried to do the valve again it just said "you already have the book".  If so - where is it?

I have done the rats and golem, I have been up and down the tower and back and forth to the race track several times, but it is still raining, and no one will speak to me.

Also, all my earlier saves have disappeared.  I can only load save12, my most recent save.

You can get the book back from the dragon, by trying to open the valve behind the bookcase.  Move bookcase.  He will get worried that the water will come in and ruin the books.

Go to the web and search Apprentice2 or Apprentice 1 (I forget which one this is) search for cheat sheets or hints on this .  There you will find a walkthrough.

Trying to use the coppers on the guy with the sword at the gate causes the game to crash.Ã,  It's happened twice now (checking to see if it was a one time deal). The first time I didn't get dialogue, the second time he told me he valued his job more than that.Ã,  Then it crashed.Ã,  Here's the error message that came up.

Other than this I haven't experienced any other problems.Ã,  Fun game.

No matter how much I try to talk to the bird it keeps saying, I'm going to find a cat for him,
Now I haven't seen a cat anywhere...The bird won't help me fix the fan problem.
So I can't make the rain stop and I can't get the rum for the potion

Also I saw the dragon, then where do I go? There's no place left

The foolkiller won't give me the clown, the lady in the village doesn't do anything then letting me know she still has the club...

Where do I find fire to lit the lantern?

Have you managed to get the pen off the highwaywoman ?
I remember reading that there is only one point in the game that you can do this, and if you dont then youre stuck in a dead end.
Ive played the game but cant remember when it is you have to get the pen.....if not that may be why you're having trouble.

How to get the pen is a bit trickey.

As I recall, when you enter the town, sometimes...there is that guard who is arguing with the highway woman. I think, you have to sign the petition, then....put the pen on the table instead of giving it back to her. Leave the town and come back when they are arguing. She doesn't notice when you snatch the pen. Or thats how I remember doing it anyway. You should be able to do it at any point durring the game as long as you havn't gotten the Foolkiller to "take care of buisness".

Go to the gate with the guard in the village. If you have freed Lloyd, he will be there. Keep talking to him and then you can ask him a favour. The favour is to undo the pegs. He will fly away and do it. I haven't got a clue what to do next as I am stuck.
I put the cog in the stove, but don't know what to do next. This game is hard!!

You need to keep messing with the stove (opening and closing them) so that the rats run out of the building and you've solved the rat problem.
