I know you guys have said how to get the key a zillion times, but i still cant get it. ive tried clickin on the harlequin romance books and every other book on the shelf with the eye and the hand, and the "key to my heart" thing doesnt come up. HELP!

How far are you in the game?  I got the key when I had 9 points only.  So you really get the box/book in the Harlequin section at the beginning of the game. After that you open the box with scissors which are in your inventory and you then have 15 points.

By the way, do you have the scissors?   Because you get those before being able to get the key.  Maybe that is your problem

talk to all the guys first then phone miggs about books that where i went wrong then u should be able to get book called key to your heart

I've been stuck there, too. I looked through all books and did not find the right one. If I recall correct, I called Miggs. After this I was able to see the book.  As said, if I recall correct.

I finished the Game in 3 hours, consulting the hints here 3 times. A few times I got stuck, because I handled the mouse wrong, ie klicked the wrong item/place or (even worse) did not think to combine the correct items.

Maybe it sounds pretty stupid but I'm not very far and still in trouble. (I'll post nevertheless because usually I find the solution right after posting my problem )
All I have so far is the cell phone, the note with MR Miggs number and the scissors. There's nothing else to say to Otto or Simon the same for the Professor and Mr Miggs.
All the others' rooms are closed. I don't see anything to do in the bathroom, the store room or the travel room ...
I've been wandering through the house for hours ... What now?Ã,  Ã,

This is a big mistake in the puzzle design, since there are no hints and nothing, you just need to get lucky or start clicking everywhere until you find it...

I think this was a misunderstanding, I was not at a point where I had to rest (I even tried this). I didn't have the key yet.
But as I expected I found the solution a few minutes later ... meanwhile I've had the key and now I'm just past the Simon-shower point.

Hi, I started reading through this whole thread looking for the solution to my stuckyness, but then read things that I didn't want to know yet. Which is kinda annoying.

So, could anyone help me? I'm just about to start the seance. I have the blood, and the candle, and have given these  to Madame Tilley. I need a personal item now. I remember talking to Alice about important things, and Ben said he has a ring.

I can't figure out how  to get it though! Anyone got any ideas? Thanks
