Just so you all know: it IS possible to get over 178 at the closing stages of the game, but not at the very end.

Both people getting 178 (or 177/179/183 rather - I managed 184) got unhappy endings because they took the cash. Their score in the "dead" screen was probably 147/149/153 (you get 30 points off for the cash), but they probably didn't notice.

The only way I can tell you for sure you've found the hidden puzzle is if you get 178 and a happy ending.

I got the happy ending but I didn't have 178 pts so I didn't find the secret puzzle. I didn't even get the brace, how did you get that?

i did get extra points when i say no to take that dosh. did get extra points when i did read my magazine in the badroom.

if you have chocs and rose then its gotta be the way you are answering the questions, I can't remember them now but I do remember it was the first answer, something mushy like love tripping him up or something like that. What about the book, did you interact with that maybe once you do that thats when you get the option of picking the right answer
