I'm supposed to dig up rubble with the shovel but it doesn't do it to the rubble in the northeast becasue it ain't worth it cos there's only a wall behind it. So where's the rubble I'm supposed to dig up?

EDIT--I just went back in and double checked both that room and the final tunnel room.  There's no MoveCharacter function at all, and line 55 of the global script deals with cursor modes.  Like I said, it will work eventually; it's just a little frustrating to have to keep going back so sorry about that (On the plus and purely selfish side, at least it wasn't a programming error on my part )

What does 'eventually' mean? I've tried to exit the tunnel so many times... considering I just counted my most recent attempt at 15 goes, I must have tried at least 40 or 50 times by now.   :o:(

Does anyone have a game saved immediately exiting the tunnel?  
And are they prepared to send it to me?

I'm honestly not sure.  Like I said, it seems to be a problem in the engine rather than the script (I've double and triple checked it; this isn't a copout on my part) It seems to be totally random; when testing I got through on the fourth or fifth go

Don't worry, I know it's not your fault.
I suspect some sequence of events has made the crash more likely to happen in my game -  I can't believe I've beaten the odds that many times!

Maybe I'll try replaying, to see if doing things in order (ie w/o wandering about in between solving puzzles) will make a difference...

I'd still appreciate it if anyone had a saved game, though!

thanx for your help judas i got thru the tunnel. same as the other guy, i like the way u give gradual hints. i only needed the first letter of the first hint and i got it  

BUT!  theres more stuckage. after emerging from the tunnel i chat to the cleric then get shot down by the sweepers. what do i do?

One little tip (again, not sure if you've read any of the previous posts and probably don't need to tell you but just in case...) the instant you do manage to get safely out, save the game; it's a lot more dangerous when you get out of the tunnel system Also, the same error occurs when you leave it for the second time to go somewhere else...just thought I'd warn you to try and avoid too much frustration

To be honest, I don't think there's anything I can do about the crashing; like I've said, it seems to be a bug in the engine rather than the script.  For some reason, the tunnel system seems to set it off.  I'm not sure if you've done this or not but if you want to know how to get shot of the tunnels once and for all, read on (and again, like I said in earlier posts, save the game before exiting...)

this is the best game i have played. how will i be able to live  without finishing?

i think i will have to go on the dose so i lose my emotions.

I'll do my best I know the error message; that's how I know it's not a scripting error; there's no MoveCharacter command on either of those rooms and there certainly isn't one in that area of the script.  I'll try and see if I can get a save game worked out though Thanks for your comments; it's great to know people are enjoying it

    This problem with the game crashing when you come out of the tunnels, I found that when I changed to play as Sparkplug in the tunnels the game always crashed at the end when I was coming out but if I played as Rosemary all the way through then it didn't. Hope this helps.
