Last night I just gave up on the game.

This A.M. I read the answers I got from both forums, downloaded DirectX 8.0 again.  Don't ask, I don't know why  but MIRACLE IT WORKED. 

I have started playing the game and it sure looks great. Have to stop now otherwise I won't get any work done but I will be back in a few hours.

Somehow  :o my problem got fixed with lots of help.

I just completed this wonderful game.  You were right I really enjoyed it.  Wish it would have been even longer.  Let me know if you find other good games that you have played or are playing.  You can always send me a pm.
