Poom- wrong planet?

I was just wondering if it was imperitive that you go to one planet or the other first.

In the spaceship when your leaving earth, you get the option of either going to tootei or phyllis iv (or whatever there called).

So, I chose Tootei..... but i think i needed to go to Phyllis IV first for some essential inventory.  do I?  Is it possible to get stuck in this game?

Either way, you stop at the gas station, which I completed.  I really dont wanna use the walkthrough, this game isnt too hard and it will ruin my fun.  I also dont wanna start over and read all the dialogue again.  Help please!!!  And watch my show!!!
