[spoilers] I am stuck at the start of the game. I have escaped from prison, and found the password to the Thief Store out, but now I don't know what to do at all. Any suggestions?

Take the piece of tape on the mermaid poster in the house and use it on cassette. It's not the riff you have to record...it's something else...
