Just a note about the 'ghost' sequences:

Spoiler
There is an intermittent timer based issue in the game that I could never quite nail down, even with the help of my testers.  Basically, when the game begins the Delirium Mode timer is reset to 0 and all should be well.  Unfortunately, (and quite randomly I might add) sometimes this doesn't occur- often on reloads where you don't quit first.  As a result, the ghost memory sequences flick on and off and you miss dialog that while not necessary does add something to the story.  I apologize if this is an inconvenience.  When I figure out why exactly it occurs I'll make an updated release.

I have a question on that one:
Spoiler
Is there actually a dialogue in the delirium sequence in Mitchell's office? I've played this scenario a couple of times now and never got dialogue, but just two people appearing on the chairs and then disappearing again. I always wondered why that helped Noah to uncover his past and find out the truth, but I always assumed that it was just something I didn't understand without suspecting the game to hide one of those precious cut-scenes from me...

Which inventory items do you have? Have you even found Dr. Mitchell's office yet? Have you already got past Burke and Hayes?
It'd be much easier to help you, knowing this stuff. Without it, I can just give you a little hint: you'll need keys...

Venus:
Thanks for the hint.  I miss a place.  Now I am stuck with the guard. Still trying.  Thanks.

Make sure you pick up the new version if you're not getting dialog in the delirium scenes.  There are other changes as well, check the readme for details :).

Help! I can't get past the guard by the soda machine. Also, I can't figure out how to get a soda, which I think the two docs want along with the ciggs.

[hint]
go quickly to the left of the soda machine and hide there. When the guard reads his book, go south to the next screen. You must try several times. It is not that difficult.

Later on in the game you must knock out the guard. You will enter from the south, go up quickly and do something at the counter. This might take several tries again.

You cannot get any soda, and the two guys want something stronger.

Do you mean they want the coffee? I can't seem to get it. Clicking w/ the brain or the hands gives you nothing. I'm effectively stuck here. Help.

I wanted to [ h i d e ] the text....
Spoiler

The two guys want alcohol, not coffee. You will have a chance later on. First, you have to get pass the warden that is reading.

Coffe: Put the lithium in the coffee, the guard will pass out. Then you can enter his office (first door to the right in the corridor just south of the guard). Leave the coffee where it is.

But I'm already past the guard, and all I'm getting are a series of locked doors. Where is there any alcohol?

Don't care about the drink yet.

If you got past the warden and get stuck, then you should talk to the patients. Talk until they repeat themselves (all of them). Do you have the lithium? You will find it in the treatment room in the cabinet where you were bound in the bed.

If you have discussed everything...
[/spoiler]
Again, sneak past the warden who is reading, then save the game. Select the lithium in the inventory (makes your life easier), go back to the warden and quickly to the window and pour the lithium in the coffee. The warden will send you back. A cut scene will follow. After that, go past the warden (he is sleeping now) and enter the first door to the right. Search the warden.
Now go and find mitchells office. There you will find a bottle of bourbon, but also other things.

Venus--yes, there is definitely supposed to be dialogue during that scene.  You don't learn very much, but one important thing does become apparent.

If someone is reading this who has not played this far, DO NOT READ FURTHER...I'm not sure if I remember how to use spoiler tags on this particular forum...

Spoiler
You learn in that scene that Mitchell "believes Noah" and intends to "confront Knox tonight"

Unfortunately I have no idea what this is really about since I can't get anything but the bad ending.  Of your two "optional memories" I have not tried one of them, but I have tried the other and nothing happened:

Spoiler
I used the eye AND the brain on the brain posters in the lab, as well as the ones in Knox's office.  Which poster did you mean? Is there something else that has to be done first?

Looking forward to beating this game...

Sorry, I have no idea how to make spoiler tags here.  So don't read this if you haven't beat the game.

I just tried your advice, Venus, and still can't get it to work.  The eye and brain on the poster in the rec room give me nothing but "It looks familiar, but you don't know why" type of messages.  The posters in Knox's office give me nothing after the notice of the temporal lobe.  I can't get back to the original lab at all (if you meant that brain poster) because it just says "I don't think Dr. Mitchell's office is that way".  So, basically, am I just screwed here?

Going to keep fiddling around with this.  If I figure it out I'll post the solution here.  If someone else knows how to fix this or figures it out, PLEASE tell me since I am dying to know the rest of the story--this is an amazingly cool plotline...

I don't understand the logic of the drugs in this story:

Spoiler

This Noah guy was getting shots in order to wipe out his memory. Now he uses the same drug (in Mitchell's office) to restore his memory?! I don't get it.
[close]

Another thing I don't understand:

Spoiler

When Noah halucinated (twice: once in the lab, then in Mitchell's office), he saw two persons: he saw Mitchell talking to some other person. That other person was supposed to be Noah, but, as we later learn, Noah and Mitchell are one and the same! so....???

It's disappointing that the other patients don't have any part in solving the game. I hoped I could "interact" further with that Lena. Or enter the bathrooms (especially the ladies'). Or act as a priest. Or something.

What were the red herrings for? I.e., the note on Dr West desk, the bathroom Priest, the "Einstein" patient, etc, etc.

IIRC, I used the "take" icon, not the "brain" icon, to take the wine bottle in Mitchell's office. I did this accidentaly. I wonder if it was possible to take the wine bottle using the "brain" icon, because I would never have guessed that I had to use the "take" icon. Is it the only place where you use the "take" icon?

When Knox jumps out of the window we hear him screem till he hits the ground. But he screams for tooooooo long -- as if he's jumping from a very tall building (which he isn't, because we see a fence, and a tree, outside). It was funny.

Why the heck are the filenames (in the open/save dialog) displayed in light-black foreground over black background?!?!

Why didn't you simply put the panel at the top, instead of at the bottom? It could have saved you that silly F1 trick. Heck, before I read the manual, I thought you had a bug, because I've hit all the keys, F1 included, trying to figure out how to save the game, and then that bottom panel didn't come up -- because I unknowingly disabled it!

All in all, the game was fine. The graphics was cute. Thanks. Next time please put some sex in it, as in Crave.

Yes, I meant the posters in the original lab... Guess you'll have to start a new game to get the happy ending.

Every time I use the brain on the cabinet the game tells me, that there is only lithium etc. inside, and then closes the cabinet again. How do I get the lithium?

lithium
Spoiler

First, exhaust all dialogs. The sequence of events seems to be important, so if you leave a bit, you get stuck elsewhere. If you can't seem to get the lithium even after a few attempts then you forgot to do something else in another room.

I opened the cabinet, then I searched the hotspots with the eye cursor.
Use the brain cursor and check your inventory afterwards. I could not get the vial before I sneaked past the reading warden.

Hope this helps

mwahahaha

It might be a dumb question, but what the hell do you do in the second room when your tied to the bed?

Monkeyman1138

So, I did the two missable "madness" sequences, used the drug in Mitchell's office, and examined all the different furniture in the resulting cutscene, but my eye gauge is still not completely full, what do I need to do?

Which clues are you referring to? (I have played through the game before, getting the "bad" ending, the only difference between that play and this one is looking at the furniture in Dr Mitchell's office.)
