I re-played that part of the game using the walk-through (just to make sure I didn't miss a step) and it played perfectly.  

Things to check:

Make sure you picked up the picture from the general store.  Double check that you are on Summanus.  The rock where the guy will be sitting is right under the blue bird.

Thanks for the headsup. I had walked right past the guy thinking he was still at the cliffl. Now have all four pieces of the map. Great game, but I'd never figure it out without the walkthrough.

ive done everything now, but i cant trigger the dinner thing, i went by the walkthrough and have used the clown token in machine but still doesnt trigger them meeting for dinner ive talked to everyone now cant do anything more can you help please

I've had that problem too. Are you sure you took everything from Bill's shop? I forgot the tent  and then it won't trigger. As soon as you have all the items, it will work from any location (probably the shop).  What you need from the shop:

Walk inside and after your conversation with him take the green TENT (on the right), the two green MATTRASSES from the shelf (far right), the FLASHLIGHT  (above it), the COMPASS (above the flashlight), a KNIFE (middle cabinet, bottom shelf) and ROPE (left cabinet, middle shelf).

You were helpful on my last inquiry, so I'll try again:
I somehow got Debbie back into the Jungle and at the beach scene, I can't save the girl because there is no stick available to tie the rope to on either beach. She had a stick in her earlier inventory, but lost all to Bear when he took charge.  Any thoughts?

The stick is located in the second part of the beach area right next to the rocks. (Actually, it's more of a log type thing.)  You will only be able to pick it up as Debbie and when you are saving the girl.

Thanks once again, I was able to save the gal although I had tried the "log" as a stick before but not correctly. Now, however, I'm supposed to get some mud before leaving the scene, but, pixel hunt as I might I can't seem to dredge up any.. Can I get it some where else, later?

Im stuck again, im at the beach, i have got the bottle from the fairy and supposed to find fuzzy flowers i have explored around and bit but now i cant find the flowers or the fairy again, ive spoke to the ghost can you help thanks

The fuzzy flowers are on Alethia one screen up from the beach where you first arrived.  They are set against the rock and there are five colors.  The fairy is also on Alethia and she is as far left as you can go.  Extra little hint: There is a second beach on Alethia to the right of the fuzzy flowers.

Thanks once again, this clue allowed me to prgress to getting five symbols and decorate the mask. But now I'm trying to give it back to the medicine man but I cant bring up the Password Screen at the Rock Door to get back into the village. Looking ahead with the aid of the WalkThrough, I see a lot on need to get into the village, so I guess that I'm finished with this fantastic game unless you can get me the Password screen.

Hello there,

Something to point you in the right direction:

You can only give the seashell to the drum lady after you have seen the rock animals.  She will come back after you make the dress so don't worry.  You can trade for it then.  Also, the blanket is the one you get from the lady at the loom.  You have to first get her mushrooms, then red fruit before she will let you take the blanket.

The red fruit is:

in Pia's temple.  You need the urn from inside the temple.  Inside the maze, use the urn on the fountain water and use that to water the dead-looking plant.  It will spiring to life and give you the red fruit.  You will use the strawberry later on in the game.

I fhave finally finished this fantastic game with the help of a great walkthrough, The puzzles were terrific, the scenery magnificent. and the plot outstanding.! Very good work, you should be proud of your effort.
