No templates on file, is it normal??

I downlaoded AGS yesterday and naturally I tried to work it straight away but I faced a problem.

After I opened up the AGS file I was greeted with a window asking me to enter a file name, after I had done so I realised that the "Next" button was still greyed out.

I then checked the FAQ's in the manual and found nothing (Maybe I'm just blind) but on a picture in the tutorial I noticed that in the window where the templates were there were some templates that I didn't have on mine, do I need to download something?

i presume you downloaded the beta that did not come with the template

I think you might be right as the one I downloaded had the file name as 256 but this one is 256d

No that didnt fix the problem, could anything else be wrong?

huh? the template is there, tried clicking it a few times maybe?

No, still nothing, there is simply no templates that I can see on my computer, this got me really confused and I dont like being confused.

Wherever you unzipped the zip file to, you should see both an "agsedit.exe" file and a "Blank Game.agt" file. Did you extract everything from the zip file into the same folder?

Yeah they are both their, the game file and the editor

Never mind I figured it out!

could you say how, just incase any one else does the same, and because i want to know what you were doing wrong

I dont think I did anything wrong but heres what I did:

I unzipped the file (All into same folder)

Then before I opened agsedit.exe file I right clicked the following files and clicked Open With...
acwin.exe
blank game.agt
roomedit.clb

Technicaly if I'm right this should not have worked, but it did, anyway the little window opened up with a list of the files. I just clicked cancel and then tried to work agsedit.exe and it worked.

What I don't understand is, if I didnt open it with anything how come it suddenly worked?
