Does this look like a carpet?

So Summer Paradise is still in devleopment, and here's a background to prove it.   it was sidetracked by my MAGS game Genbu's Favour.

it also contains some characters and background to be used in summer paradise.
 
anyway back to the background? Does this look like carpet? i hope so. the tv perspective is a bit off because i can't figure out a way to postiion it in the room where it makes sense to be, AND you can also see the screen. any other comments and criticism welcome.

carpet is good, if not a little bright, perhaps a little more stippling and going with a slightly darker off white would help it, but its ok.

the entertainment center looks good at an angle but the back edge of the top surface should be parrallel{sp?} with the front edge.

the carpet looks more like ice to me and doesn't reall suit the colours used in the rest of the room, also it's too similar to the colour of the pillows.

edit - i played about with changing the colour of the carpet...

I totally agree with BOYD... a white carpet shouldn´t be a good idea, you can test other colours, I was thinking in some kind or ded, which is very "carpetish"...

The 'style' of the carpet is good ... I just wouldn't use the white either.  But grey would be okay meesa tinks!

Also, the bedspread looks a little off-perspective.  Just ever so slightly as it goes 'up' it appears to get longer.  (it could be an optical illusion)

I'm just being nit-picky!

fixed the bed a little, messed with all of the colours, added more details, tried to make the room look more "girly"  does it work better now?

I'm not sure where the girliness comes in (the lamp maybe?) but your colors are definitely improved.  I also agree that the perspective of the bed is a bit odd.  Other than that, looking good though.
