Well my time has come to give it up, it seems to have been sorted and is getting back on track with the help from Klaus and his wonderful MAGS site.

Unfortunatley i am running into a lot of hard work ahead of me, and would like to see if someone else can do better with MAGS, maybe start to create ceremonoies and organise things better, I'm saying this now as it is the end of september MAGS, I'll announce the winner and get them to start off October MAGS rules and decide the new OWNER to begin with November.

Anyone who is interested post here, and I'll choose a person suitable.

I think the rules for MAGS need to be changed!!! They're unfair and an injustice!!!

For example, i think there should other categories, like ones for long and short games because some games are longer than others!

Also, i think you should separate them into "ones with mr T" and "ones without Mr T" categories!!! That would own!!!

Don't you just love DG's sarcasm attacks?  ;D

Magintz, I think it would be great if you described a bit more just what it requires.

i agree.  does klaus do all of the website work?  what excatly is entailed other than determining the suitability of the rules for the next competition after you post the winner?
I like having low self-esteem.  It makes me feel special.

Klaus does all of the website, as well as organising the voting system.

The job description would best be described as Organiser.

You will have to keep up to date with whats been going on within the current posts, and remember to stop the competition at the end and announce voting.

Should any last decisions be made like rules or votes you will have to decide. If there are any debates about the rules you will have to give your opinion and sort this out.

If noone enters a month, you will have to make up the rules. You can set up the system however you want... ask for suggestions? make prizes and ceremonies?

I dont think it would be that hard. Basicly just start the new thread and lock it when it is done, right? The winner makes the rules and such, dont they. I'll be willing to take it if this is all.

Snake

You could hand it over to me. I'd change the name to SNAKES and I'd include the "games with mr. T" and "games without mr. T" catagories.

vote yes on SNAKES.

Andail

I think making categories for games with mr. T and games without mr. T is a bit superfluous, seriously.

I mean, mr. T is in all games anyway, right?

DGMacphee

Some games don't, but they suck donkey balls!

Abandoning it and all that  :'(

Veteran, writer... with loads of unreleased games. Work in progress.

magintz

so jannar is that a propostition to take over?

I'll still wait but i'm going to have to wait a while just to see if anyone else is interested.

I'll choose probably very soon.

Well, I've been interested in MAGS for a long time, and love the idea of a non-binding, ever-changing monthly competition. I'd love to help with this, and want to do something other than the ill-fated AGTV series. I'd love to help, even if it is only as lackey to whoever takes over...

Guys: Hey....my MAGS game had Mr. T in it, but as far as I can see, others don't. If you want to seperate my game from the others, just put it in the 'super-sucky' category, kay?

I like MAGS just the way it is now... I WOULD probably concider if I wanted to enter the selection of the next owner, but I fear I can't keep up with the dates so well... Like if MAGS was to close the 27th, I'd remeber it on the 28th and so on... Well, I could try, but I'd probably screw up... I'd make it a AMAGS - Aproximately Mothly AGS Competition - and the rules and keeping-track-of-entrys would become messy... :P
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

TK - That seems to be the problem with me, everythign is becoming messy, but thanks to the new MAGS site things are nice and easy.

I'd like someone to come in, who could put together a monthly ceremony like DG used to, and someone to remember which games are in development and also to remember to not forget about the deadlines - occasionally it might be extended to help people (e.g this month with Ginny)

Paranoia

i'd give it a go, running the MAGS... least then it would stop me entering crappy games!

|Alky|

Well, I think I could do that Magintz, since although I don't fulfill my own deadlines, I could probably enforce them for others, and if for some reason I wasn't around, finding someone to take temporary control probably wouldn't be that hard (since I'm on IRC and the forums a lot). Also, I know how to do cutscene-shows, since I was planning to make a monthly show about AGS before all these radio/magazine things started running and stole my thunder/work ethic  ::) . But MAGS, I could do - communicating with/bugging entrants seems like a lot of fun..

WOW, quite a lot of people have raised their hands, and I thank all of you, but I feel that I should really try to pull this together myself. Over the past few days I have come to realise how much I enjoy hosting MAGS, and how many more games I get to play becasue of it.

Before owning MAGS i never really played many of the games simply due to the quality of some of them, but I have grown to admire the skill, dedication and overall quality of the games.

It is at this point that I feel I do not want to give it up just yet, but savour it while I still can, to do this I will require help tho.

I wish to try to resurect the old ceremonies, but with nice, flashy newness, and bring back it's 1337 factor. I think that more people played MAGS games to watch the humourous ceremonies at the end so I am going to be looking for:

Character Artist's / Animators
Background Artist's

All I'll need is the same few rooms and one host character, and I will also get the winner to send me the protagonist .cha file to accept the award.

I may also require some help with the scripts for the ceremony, so If people could please come forward and offer some help I would much appreciate it.

Thanks

Magintz
