Need help with outline fonts

Hi there!

I need some help with fonts.
Since my game is 640x480, I'm using windows true type fonts, because the default fonts (which are Sierra fonts, I think ¿?) look a little pixelated in general.

Now, I picked some windows font and set it as the dialog (speech) font. But since speech fonts ought to have an outline font, I tried to set another font (say, the same one, but bold, or a little bigger) as the outline font, but it just does not work. It uses the main one without any outline.

How can I fix this?


Oh, and regarding another question I previously asked (the answer to which nobody really knows)...
Is is possible to ask something directly to CJ ? He HAS to know, for he made the whole thing.

You're using AGS v.2.56, right?
Download the latest beta from the technical archive. It has a "auto-outlining" checkbox. Or you could make your own SCI font with SCI studio.

What's the "technical archive" ?

I downloaded AGS v2.56 about a two months ago.
But there's no "auto outlining" there.

No no, he meant Ags 2.6 RC2 It's on Technical forum not Technical archive. But be sure to make a backup of your game before trying to load it with the latest release candidate version.

The 2.6 beta does TTF outlining

Guests cannot send private messages, and I think his problem is with logging on after registering! So Scummy's sugestion would not work. However, try this link's suggestions, which use the same BB system
