Finally got around to working on the 2nd part of BoE, and here's one of the first characters you meet.  She's a teacher at a nursery school.  I'm proud of myself because I actually did some shading.

I really like it, it´s very "Gilbertish", so, even assuming that I would do her in a totally different way, for your style will work terrific.

Just... Add a darker colour in the inside part of the sleeve, and you could do more detail in the dress (Not the jacket...)

Edit: This has been my 1-minute edit... hope you don´t mind...

Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

I like the original and Far ... er Lance's edit.

The only thing that leaps out at me that I would crit would be the legs.  It looks like the right leg (back) is missing?  Like we should be seeing a little more of it.

Your shading wasn't bad at all!  I would have added a little more (hair, face, legs, etc) but it's a great start!

i like this character. But one thing bothers me when shown up close. It looks like she has a nail or another pointed object coming out of her right hand. Maybe you could delete that extra line there. Without it, her hand would look perfect.

Great work Dave.. (and Farlander) :)

I like her.. She is very believable as a teacher. Especially her clothes & colors.

I also agree with BuffaloGamer about the extra pixel at the hand. But it depends oh the characters background. If the hand blends-in you will need the extra pixel, if not you might consider getting it out.

I think the legs are a bit wrong. Otherwise, great work, Dave.
