Mike honey, don't give up! I couldn't draw, I have been learning for a whole year and I still can only barely draw, but I am improving, I  have no talent so I make up for it with daily practice and I know that one day I will draw,  the key is practice PRACTICE P R A C T I C E.

Well one thing that is true is that everyone can't draw the way they would want to draw. That's one sad but true thing. I can draw OK (I think). If you practice (like Femme stalk mode said) then you'll finally draw like you want, that's what I think :P
You got it!

Yeah, practicing makes perfect. One hint, try to draw what you're seeing, not the symbol that means it to you. Get rid of this childish habit.

Also, everything can be made out of basic shapes, like a human head is a circle and an  upside-down  cone, there are plenty of tutorials about it, it's a good method.

Study backgrounds (mostly line art images), try to re-draw the image, practice drawing each thing, till you can handle it. It's time consuming, but it's definitely worth it!
Veteran, writer... with loads of unreleased games. Work in progress.

What part is the upside down cone?

I'm not trying to be wry, I really don't know.  I am a crappy artist.

Also, I'm afraid I might be missing a crucial part of my head.

I wouldn t recommend trying to copy pictures or tracing since it wont make you understand volume. Once you understand volume, the rest ll come.
