How do you pick up things and talk to people in this game? I keep left clicking and nothing happens and when I right click he just says "I don't have anything"

I've made it to the door with the alarm and cable.  I've tried all combinations with my inventory and can't figure this puzzle out.  Please Help.

My Inventory:  Pillow, long green hose, knife, a single match, liquid from floor in tube, spoon, green plant in container,  The wire I used to break out of cell, ( I may be forgetting something but should be about it)

you need to use the liquid on the wood in the fireplace light the fire and then go up to the roof and use hose on chimney.  Then put end of the hose into the hole.  After that you will need to put something on the fire to burn and then you can go through the alarmed door

Hi,

I can't find the fire place.  I looked outside the window where I found the plant and he did mention a chimney and a balcony below.  But I can't figure out how to get down there.

Also is there a way to open that one door in the hallway (on the same floor with window and the plant, not the one with the alarm.)

when you climbed down the rope go south then north did you find the spy hole in the door?   After that go east, south, west, west. Then use the plant with the window.

To get to the room with the fireplace -  from the room you enter after climbing down the rope you have to go south then west.   When you have lit the fire go north and you can pick up the flower again.

Ok.  Now I'm trying to get passed the sailor.  He mentioned something about a package to be found by a waterfall but there is no waterfall.  So I assume I wont get to a waterfall until after I get on the ship.

How do I get passed sailor and do I need to try and open those lockers in the police station before I move on?

Haven't  played the game in ages but I seem to remember that there is a waterfall there, it's just hard to find on the map.  I may be wrong but you could have another look around for the hotspot.

Ok.  I did finally find the waterfall.  It was hard to find.

Now I have gunpowder from the lockers and have spread it around the sailor.  What next?

If I remember correctly, you need to play the shotgun game and win the string. Use the stapler with the string. Use the tray and string combination with the peg. Shoot the tray.

What do you mean by shoot the tray  I did the string and stapler combination already and tried using the guns at the game stand but that didn't work.  Am I supposed to have a gun from somewhere?
