WINE and the AGS development interface...

...I'm running a 100% Linux system right now. The fact that AGS' development system is only available for Windows is a big problem for me, as I'd like to learn and use it, but can't.

Unless it can work with WINE. I haven't tried it myself yet, though I intend to soon. Has anybody else tried this? Does it work at all? Does it work usably? If so (or if not), what version of WINE are you using?

Yes, I rememer people were able to run it under Wine. Not sure if it's stable enough but it run, afaik.

And the results... nada. AGS crashes out (2.56) with WINE (20030813) with an Unhandled Exception.

The only guess I have it's maybe a version incompatibility. Don't know about Wine but as for AGS it was 2.54(?) or about. Erica McLane managed to run it but I didn't see her posting for the last three months.

Ehh...I'm sorry about that. I just haven't had the time to work on porting the editor (*if* it can happen). I'm attending university full time and working full time at the moment so I'm a bit loaded down
