Well.. No-one thought it could be possible, but they did indeed make another Tremors movie.. But contrary to popular belief, it's really not all that bad. IMO it's better than 2 and slightly better than 3.

I doubt it's out in other countries in US right now, but whoever has seen it, what are your opinions.. m0ds, how bought your expectations??

Usually, I would prefer to contribute a bit more than this to the topic but:

Nooooooooooooooooo!  Argh.  :o

MrColossal

i liked 2 and 3 was some shitty shit

and to clarify, by liked i mean it wasn't the worst movie ever and the effects were really well done. the 3d models looked really good except there was a lot of clipping

3 was shit.. just stupid

and the series... don't even bother
"This must be a good time to live in, since Eric bothers to stay here at all"-CJ also: ACHTUNG FRANZ!

I have the third movies. Thery're really not scary, the effects are shitty, but the humor is there. :)

It's something I watch when there's nothing else but Miami Vice on The TV

Nacho

Excuse me, the trilogy is not very well known in Spain: Tremors is that film where some kind of giant slugs eat people? Starred by Kevin Bacon? If so,I liked (I was not superultraoverpleased, but...) the first one...
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

I get Tremors confused with Critters.  And I get Critters confused with Gremlins. And I get Gremlins confused with Trolls. And I get Trolls confused with Furbies:

I love these movies. The second was my favourite though, especially the scene where Burt drives his truck down the valley and stops, gets out and announces his escape from the Graboids and that he is COMPLETELY OUT OF AMMO!

What about the TV show? Anybody seen it? Any good?

m0ds

I haven't seen the fourth yet. IMO I believe they're trying to do a Back To The Future style film for number 4, going back to the wild west etc. Okay, I know it's a completely different story line..

I'm not in any rush to see number 4. As eric said, number 3 was shitty shit (even tho it did get the highest ratings on the Sci Fi channel when it was air'd).

I love number 1 and enjoy number 2. But IMHO they've overdone the whole Tremors thing. It was never popular enough for a tv show, and with three films that go straight to video release, well, I don't see much light at the end of the tunnel. Tremors 4 seems to be made because of the fans wanting it so bad, so that's kinda good I guess.

"Tremors" never really needed any sequels, I reckon. A lot of sequels just make previous movies void, simply because they couldn't get a certain actor or what not. Take Jurassic Park for example, the first and second film are fine, then the third one we find out Alan and Ellie have split up and she's got a new hubby. That really dissapoints me because now everytime I watch the original JP I know that "in the end" Alan and Ellie aren't together, so the whole love interest in the first movie is voided.

Michael Gross made a great secondary character, but the more of a preliminary character he's become in the Tremors series has really put me off him. I don't give a f**k about a survivalist. The first movie was great because the heros were handymen. The second and third mainly came down to the fact Burt was clinically insane and owned a lot of guns. Which sucks.

Tremors 4 boasts to be less on the gun stuff and more on the "How would you kill a beast in the Wild West?". Although I'm sure 4 will be better than 3, I still don't think the storyline will differ that much from 3. Or does it, LGM?

So there ya go :)

But what I do say, is go TONG! http://tong.bsone.net ^-^

I think that Tremors is like mushroom. Some people love it, some people can't stand it. I like tremors, but hate mushrooms. For me RON is mushrooms :P

LordHart

So you're technically saying you have no sense of humour?! :P

LGM

I personally liked Tremors 4.

It is a different storyline, but then again it's like revisiting the first one. They go back to the community aspect the first one had.. Sticking together to survive. I really like Michael Gross's character this time around.. He's the complete opposite. A snotty, up-tight rich man.. And apparently an ancestor of good ol' Burt. (Last name is the same, Gummer)

I dunno, I thought it was fun.. Image quality was great, and the puppetry was Old Sk00l! But the 3D was terrible and they shouldn't of used it.

So yea, it's not shitty shit.. So go see it.

No. I DO have a sense of humour... I just haven't liked the RON games I've played. I liked Calsoon. Lots of inside jokes (for people who know swedish). Plus I like most games. I also watch most comedy shows on tv (ok all).

Captain Mostly

I really REALLY liked the first tremours film. It was fantastic and amazing and brilliant. But the second one was so shit it made me weep for the memory of the first one.

I've not bothered to see number 3, and I'm not going to see number 4 either. The first one WOULD have been a cult classic had it not been for the appauling sequils.

LordHart

Well, in my opinion it is a cult classic. There are two groups of fans for it though. The ones who like only the first movie, and then the ones who like the sequels as well.

Although the sequels aren't as good as the first, they still are much better then sequels to other series in the genre like Critters or Gremlins.
