Ve Stinu Havrana (In the Raven Shadow)

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post, as this game (found with the names "Ve Stinu Havrana", "In the Raven Shadow" or "In the Shadow of the Raven") is not an AGS game. If this is the wrong place to post, please somebody moves it where it should.

Well, anyway, I'm in the cannibal village and I have to do that trial. No matter what I do, no matter what I do, I always end up in the cannibals' soup! Eeek! Well, whether I pass the trial or not the cannibals are after me and I must shoot them down (or shoot something else, but I have already tried everything). I can't shoot faster at all and Severin takes a lot of time to load another arrow to his bow (which is why I end up as a dessert  ).

I have tried to find a tutorial, but the only one I have got so far doesn't know what the solution is either. It just ends there, but we do know that the game doesn't end there. Oh well, I leave this up to you in case you have played and finished the game. If you haven't, it's a nice game but not a must-have because it has some flaws which reduce its beauty (like this arcade trial I'm stuck for example)

I don't know how did you get this game but the name sounded familiar to me. It's an old Czech or Slovak adventure game. I have never played it though. As it seems you are pretty far already, very close to end in fact... I have checked some walkthroughs for this game for you and I suppose you have passed the pirates stage and you find yourself in the cannibal village as you got captured by cannibals after an arcade sequence, right? If so, walkthrough says that you should get the torturing pole you are tied to loose(use the pole) which should create some stirr amongst villagers. Pay no attention to the "sun" and when the cannibals start to attack you concentrate on the muscular guy. Aim slightly to the right and up from him. After a couple of dozens of unsuccesful attempts you should do it. (sounds encouraging, eh?)
The other walkthrough says that after getting the pole loose you should get rid of the guard and then you should talk to medicine man(or shaman or whoever it is) after you get/hit the board/target you should shoot the big chief (the musculate guy???)
That's all I can do for you as I haven't played this game, prolly you should try your luck. I hate action sequences in adventure games too...
But I would like to know how and where did you get this game and what language it is in since it got under average marks here in Czech Republic and I would never imagine it could ever be published abroad.

well, I am there shooting the sun target. The tutorial I have found said that it says in another tutorial I have to hit the muscular guy. Well, I have already tried to shoot him on his head, mouth, weak spot etc with no effect. Now, thanks to you, I am *completely* sure I have to hit him, so I guess it's on a specific spot (but doesn't it hurt when I hit him "there"? strange).

Well, actually this game got ok marks. It got B- in Just Adventure and 74% in another review. It's now re-released with English subtitles.
